Introduction

• Leprosy is a very serious illness which is rare but still affect most of the peoples.
• Sometimes it caused permanent disability to the patient.
• Treatment of Leprosy is a very expensive affair which is not affordable by middle class people.
• So, Government of Himachal Pradesh took a great initiative to help those people who are suffering from Leprosy Disease.
• A new scheme called "Rehabilitation Allowance to Lepers" is started by Himachal Pradesh Government.
• The main objective behind starting this allowance scheme is to provide needed financial support to leprosy patient.
• This scheme is known by some other name like "Himachal Pradesh Leprosy Pension Scheme" or "Himachal Pradesh Financial Assistance to Lepers" or "Himachal Pradesh Lepers Pension Scheme" or "Himachal Pradesh Kusht Rogi Punarvas Bhatta Yojana".
• Department of Social Welfare and Empowerment of Himachal Pradesh Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• Government of Himachal Pradesh will provide monthly financial assistance to eligible people who are suffering from Leprosy Disease.
• Monthly Financial Assistance of Rs. 1,000/- will be provided to male beneficiary.
• Whereas if the Age of Male Beneficiary is more than 70 Years then the Financial Assistance under Rehabilitation Allowance to Lepers is Rs. 1,500/- per Month.
• Female Beneficiary will get Rs. 1,500/- per Month in this scheme.
• If the Age of Male and Female Beneficiary is above 70 Years and they are disabled due to Leprosy Disease then the Monthly Allowance provided will be Rs. 1,500/- per Month.
• Submitting a Ongoing Treatment Certificate for Leprosy Disease is mandatory at the time of applying under Himachal Pradesh Rehabilitation Allowance to Lepers.
• There is no Online Application Form of Lepers Monthly Pension is available right Now.
• Beneficiary can Fill the Offline Application Form and avail the benefit of financial assistance under Rehabilitation Allowance to Lepers Scheme of Himachal Pradesh Government.

Benefits

• Residents of Himachal Pradesh who are suffering from Leprosy Diseases will get the following financial help from the Government under Rehabilitation Allowance to Lepers Scheme of Himachal Government :-
  • Rs. 1,000/- per Month to Male Beneficiary.
  • Rs. 1,500/- per Month to Male Beneficiary if Age is Above 70 Years.
  • Rs. 1,500/- per Month to Female Beneficiary.
  • Rs. 1,500/- per Month to those Male and Female Beneficiary of Above 70 Years of Age who got Incapacitated due to Leprosy Disease.

Eligibility

• Applicant should be a Resident of Himachal Pradesh.
• Applicant should be Suffering from Leprosy Disease.
• Applicant should be being Treated by Department of Health.

• Documents which are required at the time of applying for monthly financial assistance under Himachal Pradesh Rehabilitation Allowance to Lepers are as follows :-
  • Residence Proof of Himachal Pradesh.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Email ID.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Passport Size Photo.
  • Ongoing Leprosy Treatment Certificate.

How to Apply

• Leprosy Patient can apply for pension under Himachal Pradesh Rehabilitation Allowance to Lepers through Offline Application Form.
• Application Form of Himachal Pradesh Rehabilitation Allowance to Lepers is available at any of the following offices :-
  • District Welfare Officer Office.
  • District Tehsil Office.
• Fill the Himachal Pradesh Rehabilitation Allowance to Lepers Application Form carefully.
• Attach all the documents with the application form.
• Submit the Application Form of Lepers Pension along with the Documents in the same office from where the Application Form was collected.
• Application Form and Documents will scrutinized by the concerned department officials.
• Preliminary Verification will be done by the District Welfare Officer.
• After Verification, Selected List of Lepers Beneficiary for Monthly Pension will be available in District Welfare Officer Office or District Tehsil Office.
• Selected Beneficiary will be informed through SMS or Email on their Mobile Phone.
• Monthly Pension under Rehabilitation Allowance to Lepers will then credited directly in the bank account of beneficiary by Himachal Pradesh Government.
