Himachal Pradesh Old Age Pension Scheme

Introduction

• Old Age Pension Scheme of Himachal Pradesh is the major welfare scheme for people of State.
• The main objective behind starting this scheme is to provide financial security cover to those people who are not able to earn their livelihood due to their old age condition.
• Social Justice and Empowerment Department of Himachal Pradesh Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• This scheme is also called "Himachal Pradesh Vridhawastha Pension Yojana" or "Himachal Pradesh Pension Scheme for Old Age People".
• Government of Himachal Pradesh will now provide per month financial assistance as pension to all eligible old age people of State.
• Only those beneficiaries are eligible for monthly old age pension who crossed the 60 years of age.
• The pension amount under Himachal Government's Old Age Pension Scheme varies according to the age of beneficiary.
• Monthly Pension of Rs. 1,000/- will be provided those male beneficiary whose age is between 60 years to 69 years.
• Whereas, Monthly Pension of Rs. 1,500/- will be provided to those female beneficiary whose age is between 60 years to 69 years.
• And, Pension of Rs. 1,700/- per month will be provided to both male and female beneficiary who crossed 70 years of age.
• There is no minimum or maximum income limit to avail the benefit of monthly pension under Old Age Pension Scheme of Himachal Pradesh Government.
• Those beneficiaries are not eligible for old age pension of Himachal whose age is below 60 years.
• There is No Online Application Apply Procedure is available to apply for Himachal Pradesh Old Age Pension Scheme.
• Beneficiary can apply for monthly pension through Offline Application Form which is available at any District Social Welfare Department Office.

• Government of Himachal Pradesh will provide the below mentioned financial assistance as monthly pension under Old Age Pension Scheme :-

  Male	60 Years to 69 Years	Rs. 1,000/- per Month
  	70 Years or More	Rs. 1,700/- per Month
  Female	60 Years to 69 Years	Rs. 1,500/- per Month

How to Apply

• Eligible Old Age Beneficiaries can apply for monthly pension under Himachal Pradesh Old Age Pension Scheme through Offline Application Form.
• Application Form of Himachal Pradesh Old Age Pension Scheme is available free of cost at any of the below mentioned offices :-
  • Office of District Tehsil.
  • Office of District Social Welfare Department.
• Collect the Application Form and fill it correctly.
• Attach all the required documents with the Application Form.
• Now Submit the Old Age Pension Scheme Application Form of Himachal Pradesh in the same office from where it was collected.
• Application Form along with all the documents will be scrutinised by the District Social Welfare Officer of the concerned District.
• Selected Beneficiary will be informed through SMS or Email.
