Karnataka SC Intra Caste Marriage Assistance Scheme

Introduction

• Karnataka SC Intra Caste Marriage Assistance Scheme is the social welfare scheme of Government of Karnataka.
• It was launched in the year 2015.
• The main objective behind launching SC Intra Caste Marriage Assistance Scheme is to remove casteism from society.
• Commissionerate of Social Welfare of Karnataka Government is the implementing agency of this scheme.
• Under Karnataka SC Intra Caste Marriage Assistance Scheme, Government of Karnataka will provide financial assistance of Rs. 2,00,000/- for the Marriage of Intra Schedule Caste Couple of Karnataka.
• Couple belongs to Schedule Caste Category but sharing different Sub Caste are only eligible to avail the benefit of financial assistance under SC Intra Caste Marriage Assistance Scheme.
• In a simple term we can say that, Married Couple should be belong to Schedule Caste Category but they should not share same Sub Caste.
• The Annual Family Income of Couple should not be more than Rs. 2,00,000/- per year.
• Applicant has to apply for financial assistance within 1 year of marriage.
• Application received for financial assistance after 1 year will not be considered at any cost.
• Marriages held on or after 01-04-2018 are only eligible to get financial assistance under Karnataka SC Intra Caste Marriage Assistance Scheme.
• Marriage Certificate is required at the time of applying for Karnataka SC Widow Remarriage Assistance Scheme.
• Eligible Beneficiaries can apply for financial assistance by filling Online Application Form of Karnataka SC Intra Caste Marriage Assistance Scheme.

Benefits

• The following financial assistance will be provided to Intra Caste Couple of Schedule Caste Category under Karnataka SC Intra Caste Marriage Assistance Scheme :-
  • Financial Assistance of Rs. 2,00,000/- will be provided.

Eligibility

• Bride and Groom should be a Permanent Residents of Karnataka.
• Applicants Should be belong to Schedule Caste Category but have different Sub Caste.
• The Annual Family Income should be below Rs. 2,00,000/-.
• Application should be submitted within 1 year of marriage.
• Marriage Should be held on or after 01-04-2018.

• Documents that are required at the time of applying for financial assistance under Karnataka Government's Schedule Caste Intra Caste Marriage Assistance Scheme are as follows :-
  • Domicile of Karnataka.
  • Aadhar Card of Bride and Bride Groom.
  • Caste Certificate.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Marriage Photograph.
  • Marriage Certificate.
  • Mobile Number.

How to Apply

• Eligible Married Couple belongs to Schedule Caste Category but having different Sub Caste can apply for financial assistance under Karnataka SC Intra Caste Marriage Assistance Scheme by filling Online Application Form.
• Online Application Form of Karnataka SC Intra Caste Marriage Assistance Scheme is available on Social Welfare Department Website.
• Beneficiary has to Register by entering Aadhar Number of herself and the Aadhar Number of Spouse.
• After Registration fill the personal details, contact details and marriage details, bank account details of Bride and Bride Groom in the Application Form.
• Upload all the required documents in the portal.
• Preview the Application Form carefully and Click on Submit Button.
• Take the print out of Acknowledgement Receipt.
• Application Form and all the documents will be subject to scrutiny and verified by the District Social Welfare Officer.
• After verification, the financial assistance under Karnataka Intra Caste Marriage Assistance Scheme will be transferred in the given bank account of beneficiary.
