Introduction

• Karnataka Schedule Tribe Intra Caste Marriage Assistance Scheme is the financial assistance scheme of Karnataka Government.
• It's a first and major step of Government of Karnataka towards removing the discrimination based on caste.
• This scheme was started in the year 2016.
• The main objective behind launching this scheme is to remove the caste based discrimination and make every person of Karnataka equal to each other.
• Department of Scheduled Tribe Welfare of Government of Karnataka is the nodal department of this scheme.
• Under Karnataka Schedule Tribe Intra Caste Couple Marriage Assistance Scheme, Government of Karnataka will provide financial assistance of Rs. 2,00,000/- to married couple as a incentive for their marriage.
• It is a Intra Caste Marriage Assistance Scheme, so it is mandatory that married couple should be belong to Schedule Tribe Category but they do not share same sub caste.
• Financial Assistance under Schedule Tribe Intra Caste Couple Marriage Assistance Scheme will only be provided to those Schedule Tribe residents of Karnataka who belongs to Schedule Tribe Category but not have same sub caste..
• The Annual Family Income of Married Couple should be below Rs. 2,00,000/- per year.
• Marriages held after 01-04-2018 are eligible for financial assistance under Karnataka ST Intra Caste Couple Marriage Assistance Scheme.
• It is mandatory to apply for financial assistance within 1 year of marriage.
• Application received for financial assistance after 1 year will not be considered.
• Marriage Certificate is required at the time of applying for Karnataka ST Intra Caste Couple Marriage Assistance Scheme.
• Eligible Couples can apply for financial assistance by filling Online Application Form of Karnataka ST Intra Caste Couple Marriage Assistance Scheme.

• The Following Financial Assistance will be provided to couples belonging to Schedule Tribe Category but have different Sub Caste (Intra Caste) :-

Eligibility

• Bride and Bride Groom should be Permanent Residents of Karnataka.
• Bride and Bride Groom should be belong to Schedule Tribe Category and have different sub caste..
• Marriage should be held on or after 01-04-2018.
• The Annual Family Income should be below Rs. 2,00,000/- per year.
• Application should be submitted within 1 year of marriage.

How to Apply

• Beneficiary can apply for financial assistance under Karnataka ST Intra Caste Couple Marriage Assistance Scheme by filling Online Application Form.
• Karnataka ST Intra Caste Couple Marriage Assistance Scheme Online Application Form is available on Schedule Tribes Welfare Department Website.
• Beneficiary has to Register themselves first by entering Aadhar Number of Bride and Bride Groom.
• After Registration fill the personal details, contact details and marriage details, bank account details of Bride and Bride Groom in the Application Form.
• Upload all the documents in pdf format.
• Preview the Application Form and Click on Submit Button.
• Print the Acknowledgement Receipt further reference.
• ST Intra Caste Couple Marriage Assistance Scheme Application Form along with all the documents will be forwarded to District Tribal Welfare Officer for verification.
• After verification, the financial assistance under Karnataka ST Intra Caste Couple Marriage Assistance Scheme will be transferred in the given bank account of beneficiary.
