Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• Fulfilling its pre-poll promise the newly appointed Karnataka Government launched the "Yuva Nidhi Scheme".
• Under the scheme, the government promises to provide monthly financial support to educated unemployed youths.
• The Yuva Nidhi Scheme of Karnataka has become a social boom for the welfare of Karnataka unemployed youths.
• The main objective behind launching the Yuva Nidhi Scheme is to provide monthly financial support to unemployed youths of Karnataka.
• The announced scheme is also known as "Karnataka Unemployment Assistance Scheme" providing monthly financial assistance to unemployed youths.
• Under the scheme, the government is providing a monthly assistance of Rs 3,000/- to unemployed graduates and Rs 1,500/- to unemployed diploma holders.
• Since its launch, the government has transferred 38.55 Crore to 1.2 Lakh beneficiaries.
• This monthly financial assistance will be used by the youth to take care of the expenses incurred in securing an employment.
• Permanent residents and Unemployed educated youth of Karnataka are eligible to avail the financial assistance under Yuva Nidhi Scheme.
• Youth who passed their graduation or diploma are only eligible to apply for monthly unemployment allowance under Karnataka Yuva Nidhi Scheme.
• Youth who completed their graduation or diploma are unemployed for a minimum period of 180 days i.e. 6 months are eligible to get financial assistance under Yuva Nidhi Scheme.
• The allowance promised under the scheme will be provided for a period of 2 years or until the applicant secures employment (whichever is earlier).
• If beneficiaries are employed within the given period i.e. 2 years then assistance will not be provided to them further.
• After 2 years or if the beneficiary found employment within a period of 2 years then the unemployment allowance will be stopped immediately.
• Benefits of Yuva Nidhi Scheme will only be provided to eligible beneficiaries from next year.

Scheme Benefits

• Yuva Nidhi Scheme offers monthly financial assistance to the unemployed youth of Karnataka. Under the scheme, each unemployed youth are entitled for : -
  • Monthly Assistance of Rs 3,000/- to unemployed graduates.
  • Monthly Assistance of Rs 1,500/- to unemployed diploma holders.

Eligibility Requirements

• Yuva Nidhi Scheme monthly assistance benefits will be provided to applicants who meet the following eligibility criteria outlined in the scheme guidelines. Beneficiaries other than the stated criteria will not receive scheme benefits.
  • Applicants must be domiciled resident of Karnataka.
  • Applicant should be either a Graduate or Diploma Holder.
  • Applicant must completes their Graduation or Diploma in the year 2023.
  • Applicant is unemployed for a minimum period of 6 months.

Ineligibility Requirements

• Other than the criteria mentioned above, if any applicant falls under any of the below mentioned criteria will not receive Yuva Nidhi Scheme benefits : -
  • One who still continues their studies after completing graduation or diploma.
  • Beneficiary of Apprentice Wages.
  • Youth employed in Govt/ private sector.
    
  • Self Employed Applicant.
  • Applicants receive similar benefits from other schemes.

• To apply for the Yuva Nidhi Scheme Application applicants must have the following documents : -
  • Residence Proof/ Domicile of Karnataka.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • 10th Marksheet and Certificate.
  • 12th Marksheet and Certificate.
  • Graduation Marksheet and Certificate.
  • Diploma. (For Diploma Holders).
  • Caste Certificate. (If Applicable)
  • Income Certificate.
  • Mobile Number.

Online Application Process

• Unemployed Educated Youth of Karnataka can avail the benefit of unemployment allowance by filling the Online Application Form of Yuva Nidhi Scheme.
• Online Application Form of Yuva Nidhi Scheme is available on Seva Sindhu Portal of Government of Karnataka.
• To Apply, Unemployed Youth have to Register themselves first.
• Aadhaar Card is mandatorily needed for Unemployment Allowance Registration.
• After Registration, Login in the same portal.
• After Login fill the below mentioned details step wise :-
  • Personal Details.
  • Contact Details.
  • Educational Qualification Details.
  • Bank Account Details.
• Upload all the required documents on the portal.
• Preview the Application Form of Yuva Nidhi Scheme and Click on Submit Button.
• Submitted Applications of Yuva Nidhi Scheme will be scrutinized by the concerned officials.
• After scrutiny of applications, selected youths will get unemployment allowance for the period of 2 years.
• Beneficiaries can also check the Application Status of Yuva Nidhi Scheme by entering the Application ID.

Offline Application Process

• Eligible Youth can also apply for unemployment allowance under Yuva Nidhi Scheme by filling Offline Application Form.
• Offline Application Form of Yuva Nidhi Scheme is available free of cost at the District Employment Exchange Office.
• Collect the Yuva Nidhi Scheme application form and fill the details correctly.
• Attach all the needed documents with the Application Form.
• Submit the Application Form of Yuva Nidhi Scheme along with the documents in the office of District Employment Exchange.
• Received Applications of Yuva Nidhi Scheme will be forwarded for scrutinization to the concerned officials.
• After verification of applications, the unemployment allowance of Rs. 3,000/- per month to Graduate Applicant and Rs. 1,500/- per month to Diploma Holder Applicant will be transferred in the given bank account.
