West Bengal Manabik Pension Scheme

Introduction

• West Bengal Manabik Pension Scheme is the social welfare scheme for the disabled people of West Bengal.
• It was launched in the year 2018.
• The main objective behind launching Manabik Pension Scheme is to provide financial security to disabled people of West Bengal.
• Due to disability conditions, persons with disability are not able to do any type of work to earn some money.
• To help these people, Government of West Bengal now provide monthly financial assistance as a pension to all eligible disabled persons.
• West Bengal Manabik Pension Scheme is also called "West Bengal Disability Pension Scheme" or "West Bengal Pension Scheme fo Disabled People".
• Pension of Rs. 1,000/- per Month will be provided to all eligible disabled beneficiaries under Manabik Pension Scheme.
• West Bengal Manabik Pension Scheme is a sub scheme under Jai Bangla Scheme which is an umbrella scheme for all pension schemes of West Bengal.
• Person having 40% or More Disability is eligible to get monthly disability pension under Manabik Pension Scheme.
• Those disabled people are not eligible to apply for monthly disability pension under Manabik Pension Scheme whose annual family income is more than Rs. 1,00,000/- per year.
• All Eligible Disabled Beneficiaries can avail the benefit of monthly pension under Manabik Pension Scheme by filling an Application Form of West Bengal Manabik Pension Scheme.

Benefits of Scheme

• The below mentioned benefits will be provided by West Bengal Government to disabled people under Manabik Pension Scheme :-
  • Pension of Rs. 1,000/- per Month will be Provided to all Eligible Disabled Beneficiaries.

Eligibility Criteria

• The below mentioned eligibility conditions is needed to be fulfilled to avail the monthly disability pension benefit under Manabik Pension Scheme of West Bengal Government :-
  • Applicant should be a Permanent Resident of West Bengal OR,
  • Applicant should be a Resident of West Bengal for 10 Years.
  • Applicant should be a Disabled Person having 40% or More Disability.
  • The Annual Family Income of Applicant should not be more than Rs. 1,00,000/- per Year.
  • Applicant should not be a beneficiary of any other Pension Scheme.

Documents Required

• The following documents is mandatorily required at the time of applying for disability pension under West Bengal Manabik Pension Scheme :-
  • Residence Proof/ Domicile of West Bengal.
  • Disability Certificate.
  • Passport Size Photograph.
  • Digital Ration Card.
  • Voter Identity Card. (For Age Proof)
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Caste Certificate. (If Applicable)
  • Income Certificate.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Bank Account Details.

How to Apply

• Eligible Disabled Beneficiaries can apply for monthly disability pension by filling Application Form of Manabik Pension Scheme.
• Manabik Pension Scheme Application Form is available free of cost at any of the below mentioned offices :-
  • Block Development Officer Office.
  • Sub Divisional Officer Office.
  • Kolkata Municipal Commissioner Office.
• Collect the Application Form of Manabik Pension Scheme and fill it carefully.
• Attach all the mandatory documents with the Application Form.
• Submit the Application Form of Manabik Pension Scheme along with all the documents in the same office from where it was collected.
• Application Form and Documents will be verified by the concerned department officials.
• After verification, disability pension amount of Rs. 1,000/- per Month under Manabik Pension Scheme will be transferred in the bank account of beneficiary.
