West Bengal Artisan and Weaver Old Age Pension Scheme

Introduction

• West Bengal Government started pension scheme for registered Artisan and Weavers of West Bengal.
• The name of scheme is "West Bengal Artisan and Weaver Old Age Pension Scheme".
• The main objective behind launching Artisan and Weaver Old Age Pension Scheme is to secure the income source of Old Age Artisan and Weavers.
• Artisan and Weavers faces income instability when they reached their old age stage.
• So, Government of West Bengal decided to fix the monthly income of Artisan and Weaver by providing them a monthly pension.
• Department Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises and Textiles of Government of West Bengal is the nodal department of this scheme.
• West Bengal Government will provide monthly financial assistance as pension of Rs. 1,000/- per Month to all eligible Old Age Artisan and Weavers of West Bengal.
• West Bengal Artisan and Weaver Old Age Pension Scheme is a sub scheme under Jai Bangla Scheme which is an umbrella scheme for all pension schemes of West Bengal.
• Artisan and Weaver who attained the age of 60 Years or more are eligible to get monthly pension under Artisan and Weaver Old Age Pension Scheme.
• Only registered artisan and weavers are eligible to receive monthly pension under this scheme.
• All Eligible Artisans and Weavers can avail the benefit of monthly pension by filling an Application Form of West Bengal Artisan and Weaver Old Age Pension Scheme.

Benefits of Scheme

• The below mentioned benefits as a Pension will be provided to Eligible Old Age Artisan and Weavers under West Bengal Artisan and Weaver Old Age Pension Scheme :-
  • Pension of Rs. 1,000/- per Month will be Provided.

Eligibility Criteria

• The following eligibility is required to avail the benefit of monthly old age pension under Artisan and Weaver Old Age Pension Scheme of West Bengal Government :-

  Artisan and Weaver should be a Permanent Resident of West Bengal OR, Artisan and Weaver should be a Resident of West Bengal for 10 Years. The Age of Artisan and Weaver should be 60 Years or More. Artisan and Weaver should be registered in their respective department. Artisan and Weaver should not be a beneficiary of any other Pension Scheme.

Documents Required

• The below mentioned documents is required to avail the benefit of monthly pension under West Bengal Artisan and Weaver Old Age Pension Scheme :-
  • Residence Proof of West Bengal.
  • Passport Size Photograph.
  • Ration Card.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Voter Identity Card. (For Age Proof)
  • Income Certificate.
  • Caste Certificate. (If Applicable)
  • Artisan and Weaver Registration Number.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Mobile Number.

How to Apply

• Old Age Artisan and Weaver can apply for monthly pension by filling Application Form of Artisan and Weaver Old Age Pension Scheme.
• Artisan and Weaver Old Age Pension Scheme Application Form is available at the below mentioned offices free of cost :-
  • Sub Divisional Officer Office.
  • Kolkata Municipal Commissioner Office.
  • Block Development Officer Office.
• Collect the Application Form of Artisan and Weaver Old Age Pension Scheme and fill it carefully.
• Attach all the documents with the Application Form.
• Submit the Application Form of Artisan and Weaver Old Age Pension Scheme along with all the documents in the same office from where it was collected.
• Application Form and Documents will be verified by the officials of Department of Fisheries.
• After due verification, Pension of Rs. 1,000/- per Month under West Bengal Artisan and Weaver Old Age Pension Scheme will be transferred in the bank account of Artisan and Weaver.
