Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister of Maharashtra Sh. Ajit Pawar presents supplementary budget of government on 28th of June 2024.
• He announced lots of welfare scheme for every faction of society.
• One of the major scheme he announced is "Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana".
• Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana was officially launched by the government on 17-08-2024.
• The main objective behind announcing this scheme is to make women financially independent and self reliant.
• Women and Child Development Department of Maharashtra Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• After its official implementation, it is going to be known by some other names such as "Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme" or "Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme" or "Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana" or "Mukhyamantri Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana" or "Mukhyamantri Mazhi Ladki Bahin Yojana".
• A financial assistance of Rs. 1,500/- per month will be provided to all eligible women of Maharashtra under Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.
• This financial assistance will help the women to improve their health and nutritional status.
• However, in the recently concluded election the government has promised to increase the assistance amount to Rs 2,100/-.
• Upon receiving approval, the increased assistance of Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana i.e. Rs 2,100/- will be credited to the beneficiaries bank account.
• Women of the age group of 21 to 65 years are eligible to receive financial assistance under this scheme.
• Earlier the age limit of Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana was 60 years but now Government of Maharashtra extends it to 65 years.
• Unmarried Single Women in a family can also apply for Mukhya Mantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.
• Those women whose family income is more than Rs. 2,50,000/- are not eligible to get the benefits.
• The Government of Maharashtra allocated a budget of Rs. 46,000/- crore for smooth implementation of this scheme.
• It is to be estimated that more than 2.5 crore women will get the benefit of Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.
• From 1st of July 2024, Women Beneficiaries can apply for financial assistance under Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.
• Earlier the last date to apply for Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana was 15-07-2024 later it was extended to August 31, 2024.
• After receiving good response, the last date to apply for Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is extended again.
• Beneficiary Women can now apply under this scheme till October 15, 2024.
• Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana Application Form can be downloaded from here.
• Eligible Women Beneficiaries can apply for Maharashta Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana through Online Application Form and through Offline Application Form. Both the modes are available.
• The Government of Maharashtra will also launch the Official Website of Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.
• Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana Application Form can also be filled through Narishakti Doot App.
• Maharashtra Government announced that the next installment of Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana will going to be released on 9th of August 2025 on the occasion of Rakshabandha.
• If any women applicants didn't receive the financial assistance under Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana for June and July month, then they can visit their District's Women and Child Development Office.

Scheme Benefits

• The following benefits will be provided to all eligible women beneficiaries under Maharashtra Government's Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana :-
  • Per Month Financial Assistance will be provided.
  • Rs. 1,500/- per month will be provided to all eligible women (Increased assistance amount i.e. Rs 2,100/- will be provided later)

How to Check DBT Amount Status

• Many Women Beneficiaries are worried as their application is approved but still they didn't received the instalment of Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana on 17th of August 2024.
• Also they didn't know how to check the DBT Amount Status of Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.
• Government of Maharashtra doesn't provide any facility to check Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana Amount DBT Status.
• But women beneficiary can call on 181 and ask the officials about their Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana Instalment Amount DBT Status.

Eligibility Requirements

• Maharashtra Government sets the following eligibility criteria for women beneficiaries in order to provide monthly financial assistance under its newly announced Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana : -

  Only Women Beneficiaries are eligible to apply. Beneficiary Women should be :- Unmarried Single Women. (If there is Only One in Family) Married. Widowed. Divorced. Abandoned. Destitute. The Age of Women should be between 21 years to 65 years. Beneficiary Women should have her own Bank Account. The Annual Family Income of Women Beneficiary should not be more than Rs. 2,50,000/-.

• Women Beneficiaries of Maharashtra faced several problems while applying for monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1,500/- per month under Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.
• Most of the Applications of Women Beneficiaries got rejected for several reasons.
• Also Women Beneficiary will not edit Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana application once submitted or rejected, this is the major setback for them.

Ineligibility Criteria of Scheme

• Maharashtra Government also sets the ineligibility criteria for Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. If any woman falls under any of the below mentioned categories then she is not eligible to apply : -

  If the Annual Family Income is more that Rs. 2,50,000/-. If any of the family members is a taxpayer. If any family member is a permanent or contractual employee of Central/ State/ Government or any Public Undertaking. If any family member is a pensioner. If a family has more than 5 Acre of Land. If there is a four wheeler in the house. (Tractors are exempted)

• Login with your Aadhar Linked Mobile Number.
  
• Update the profile by filling Full Name, Email, District and Taluka.
• Choose Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladk Bahini Yojana from the Homescreen.
  
• Fill the following details in the Online Application Form of Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana :-
  • Full Name.
  • Husband Name.
  • Date of Birth.
  • District, City and Gram Panchayat Name.
  • Pincode.

• Women Beneficiaries can apply for Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana through Application Form.
• Offline Application Form of Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is available free of cost in the office of Anganwadi Centre or Child Development Project Officer/ Gram Panchayat / Gram Sabha Office.
• Collect the Application Form of Mukhyamantri Mazhi Ladki Bahin Yojana and attach all the required documents and submit it in the same office from where it was collected.
• After preliminary scrutiny of the received application form and documents, the selected list of beneficiaries will be forwarded to concerned authority for final approval.
• After final approval, financial assistance of Rs. 1,500/- under Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana will be transferred in the bank account of the beneficiary.
• Women Beneficiaries can contact on 181 number for any help or to file any complaint about Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.
