Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• Swavalambi Sarathi Scheme is the major employment generation scheme of Karnataka Government.
• The main objective behind launching Swavalambi Sarathi Scheme is to support and encourage unemployed youth of Karnataka to start their self employment activity.
• Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation Limited is the nodal department of this scheme.
• This Scheme is also called "Karnataka Swavalambi Sarathi Yojana" or "Karnataka Vehicle Purchase Subsidy Scheme" or "Karnataka Swawalambi Sarathi Scheme".
• Under this, the government will provide subsidy on purchase of vehicles and can be used by the unemployed youth for self employment.
• Subsidy on Purchase of Vehicle under Swavalambi Sarathi Scheme is applicable only for the purchase of Goods Vehicle, Taxi, and Passenger Auto Rickshaw.
• Beneficiaries belonging to Minority Community, Schedule Caste, Other Backward Class and Schedule Tribe are eligible to get subsidy on vehicle purchase under the Swawalambi Sarathi Scheme.
• Subsidy Provided on Vehicle Purchase under Karnataka Swavalambi Sarathi Scheme are as follows : -

  Caste	Subsidy (On Vehicle Value)
  SC/ ST	Up to Rs. 4,00,000/- OR 75% of Vehicle Value.
  Minority	Up to Rs. 3,00,000/- OR 50% of Vehicle Value.
  OBC	Up to Rs. 3,00,000/- OR 50% of Vehicle Value.
  Subsidy on Passenger Auto Rickshaw will be Rs. 75,000/-.

• Facility of Loan for remaining cost of vehicle is also available from premier financial institutions under Swavalambi Sarathi Scheme.
• If the annual income of the beneficiary family is more than Rs. 4,50,000/- then they are not eligible for the scheme.
• Applicants in the Age Group of 18 to 55 years are eligible to apply.
• Applicants must possess a valid driving license to receive scheme benefits.
• Applicant or any of their family member should not avail benefit of any scheme offered under KMDCL in the last 5 years except Arivu Scheme.
• Application for the Swavalambi Sarathi Scheme can be submitted online
• Eligible Beneficiaries can apply for subsidy on vehicle purchase through Online Application Form which is available on KMDCL Online Application Management Portal.

Scheme Benefits

• The following benefits will be provided to all eligible beneficiaries under Karnataka Government's Swavalambi Sarathi Scheme :-

  Beneficiaries will receive subsidy to purchase : - Passenger Auto Rickshaw. Goods Vehicle. Taxi. Subsidy of 75% or up to Rs. 4,00,000/- of Vehicle Cost will be provided to SC and ST Beneficiaries. Subsidy of 50% or up to Rs. 3,00,000/- of Vehicle Cost will be provided to OBC and Minority Beneficiaries. Subsidy of Rs. 75,000/- will be provided on Purchase of Passenger Auto Rickshaw. Facility of Loan is also available for remaining value/ cost of purchased vehicle.

Eligibility Requirements

• Applicant should be a Permanent Resident of Karnataka.
• The Age of Applicant should be between 18 Years to 55 Years.
• The Annual Family Income of Applicant should not be more than Rs. 4,50,000/- from all sources.
• Applicants should have a Valid Driving License.
• Applicants should not be a Beneficiary of any other Scheme of KMDCL in the last 5 years.
• Applicants should belong to any of the below mentioned communities :-
  • Minority Community.
  • Other Backward Class.
  • Schedule Caste.
  • Schedule Tribe.

• The below mentioned documents is needed at the time of applying for vehicle purchase subsidy under Swavalambi Sarathi Scheme of Karnataka :-
  • Residence Proof of Karnataka.
  • Passport Size Photo.
  • Certificate of Minority.
  • Income Certificate.
  • Aadhaar Card.
  • Driving License.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Quotation of Vehicle.
  • Self Declaration Form.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Bank Passbook.

Steps to Apply

• Eligible Beneficiaries belonging to Minority Community, Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe and Other Backward Class will apply for Swavalambi Sarathi Scheme through Online Application Form.
• Online Application Form of Karnataka Swavalambi Sarathi Scheme is available on KMDCL Online Application Management Portal.
• Having a Mobile Number and Aadhar Card is mandatory to apply for this scheme.
• Enter the Mobile Number and Click on Submit.
• Portal will Verify the Mobile Number and Aadhar Card of Beneficiary through OTP Verification.
• Select Swavalambi Sarathi Yojana from scheme list after OTP verification.
• Click on Apply Online and Fill the below mentioned details step wise in Swavalambi Sarathi Scheme Online Application Form :-
  • Applicant Details.
  • Vehicle Details.
  • Bank Details.
  • Documents Upload.
  • Check the Summary.
• Click on Submit Button to Submit the Application Form of Karnataka Swavalambi Sarathi Scheme.
• Submitted Application and Documents will be verified by the selection panel.
• The Selection Panel will finalize the list of Eligible Beneficiaries to get a Subsidy on Vehicle Purchase under Swavalambi Sarathi Scheme of Karnataka Government.
• Beneficiaries of Swavalambi Scheme will get subsidy amount in their bank account.
• Beneficiaries can also check the Application Status of Swavalambi Sarathi Scheme Online.
• Eligible Applicants can apply for Swavalambi Sarathi Scheme before its deadline.
