Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• The Maharashtra Government started an initiative for the farmers of Maharashtra providing solar pumps at subsidised cost.
• For this, the Maharashtra Government has launched "Saur Krushi Pump Yojana" in the year 2019.
• The main objective of the scheme is to cater irrigation needs of the farmers.
• The solar pumps installed under the Saur Krushi Pump Yojana will replace the diesel pumps to reduce pollution.
• Under this scheme the Government of Maharashtra will provide 1,00,000 Solar Pumps to the eligible Farmers.
• The usage of solar powered pumps will be very economical to farmers, hence will reduce financial burden on them.
• This will reduce the usage of Diesel and Electric pumps which have higher cost of running.
• For the installation of the solar pumps, the Government will bear 90-95% of the cost of pump.
• This scheme will enable Farmers to irrigate their lands in daytime.
• Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Pump Yojana is a great initiative towards a cleaner and greener environment as it reduces the environmental pollution.
• The solar pump to be installed under the Saur Krushi Pump Yojana will be of 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP.
• Government will provide these solar pumps at a subsidised rate which can be varied as per the power of the motor to be installed and the category of farmers.
• Farmers must read the eligibility criteria as each pump has different criteria that farmers need to be fulfilled.
• Eligible farmers can submit their Saur Krushi Pump Yojana Application Form Online through MSEDCL Solar Portal.
• Applicants must keep the requested documents ready when submitting Saur Krushi Pump Yojana Applications.
• Within 10 days of application submission, the authority will conduct a survey and issue a demand note.
• In case of any discrepancy in the submitted form, authority will informed accordingly.

Scheme Benefits

• Under the Saur Krushi Pump Yojana, the eligible beneficiaries will receive the following benefit : -

  One lakh off grid solar powered Agricultural Pumps will be installed in the next three years in the following manner : - 25,000/- in the first year. 50,000/- in the second year. 25,000/- in the third year. After installation of solar pumps additional provision for 2 DC LEDs, 1 Fan & socket for mobile charging will be provided to the farmers. Day time power for irrigation. Priority will be given to farmers belonging to Remote and Tribal areas. Solar pumps will be provided at a subsidized cost. Eligibility Requirements

• Saur Krushi Pump Yojana benefits will be provided to beneficiaries who meet the following criteria outlined in the scheme : -
  • Farmer should be Resident of Maharashtra.
  • Farmers should be having farmland with assured sources of water.
  • Farmers should not be having conventional electricity connection for pumps.
  • Farmers should not be getting electricity benefits through any scheme previously.
  • Priority will be given to farmers from Tribal and remote areas.
  • Farmers who have applied for new electricity connections are eligible under this scheme.
  • Beneficiary farmers of "Dhadak Sinchan Yojana" are eligible under this scheme.
  • Farmers from villages which are not electrified by MSEDCL.

    3 HP and 5 HP solar powered pumps	7.5 HP solar powered pumps
    3 HP pumps are available to farmers having farmland up to 5 acres. 5 HP pumps are available to farmers having farmland above 5 acres	7.5 HP pumps are available to farmers having farm land for more than 5 acres. Water source from the pumps must be either well or tube well. The depth of water source for the pumps should not exceed 60 metres.

  • Aadhaar Card.
  • Caste Certificate (for SC/ST beneficiary)
  • 7/12 Utara Copy.

Steps to Apply

• Applications for Saur Krushi Pump Yojana can be submitted online.
• Online Application form for Saur Krushi Pump Yojna are available at MSEDCL Solar Portal website.
• On the home page, select the Beneficiaries status and tap on the "Apply" tab.
• Selecte new applicants for 3/5 HP or 7.5 HP.
• Fill all the details correctly in the scheme application form.
• Upload the copies of Required documents as aforementioned.
• Preview the application before final submission.
• Authority will conduct a survey and issue a demand note.

Key Features of the Scheme

• 7.5HP Solar pumps will not be given on Well and Tube well Belonging to Category of "Exploited" by GSDA..
• 7.5HP Solar pumps will not be given on Bore well coming under rock area.
• Paid pending consumers having Infrastructure cost of less than 2.5 lakhs will be prioritized in establishing solar pumps in his Farm.
• More than 10 vendors of Solar powered pumps are empanelled across each district of Maharashtra.
• The guarantee Period of DC Solar Water Pumping System is 5 years and Solar PV panel is 10 years.
• For complaints regarding non working of the pump, beneficiary can register the complaint at MSEDCL Call Center
