Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• With an aim to improve the economic condition of state farmers, the newly appointed Chhattisgarh government has come up with a new scheme.
• The scheme announced by the government is known as the "Krishak Unnati Scheme".
• The primary objective of the scheme is to increase the Minimum Support Price of paddy crop, providing an opportunity to farmers to receive a fair price of their crop.
• The scheme is also known by other names such as "Chhattisgarh Krishak Unnati Yojana" or "Chhattisgarh Kisan Unnati Scheme" or "Chhattisgarh Kisan Unnati Yojana".
• Under the scheme, the state government of Chhattisgarh will procure paddy crops from the farmers at Rs 3,100/- per quintal.
• Currently, the Minimum Support Price of Paddy is Rs 2,300/- per quintal but the Chhattisgarh government is providing an additional Rs 800/- per quintal under the Krishak Unnati Scheme.
• Till date, the government has procured 149.25 lakh metric ton Paddy from more than 25 lakh farmers.
• The government transfers the support price immediately during the procurement, while the difference amount will be paid under the Krishak Unnati Scheme.
• Government is continuously working for the benefit of farmers, by implementing various scheme such as : -
  • Chhattisgarh Krishak Jeevan Jyoti Yojana.
  • Deendayal Upadhyay Bhoomihin Krishi Majdoor Kalyan Yojana.
  • Chhattisgarh Saur Sujla Yojana.
• Farmers who meet all the eligibility criteria, are eligible to receive the benefits of CG Krishak Unnati Scheme.
• It is mandatory for the farmers to register themselves at Integrated Farmer Portal.
• Before procurement, the state government will ensure the availability of bags.
• The government will procure paddy from the farmers as per the quantity determined per acre by the food department, which is set at 21 quintal per acre.
• The government will provide the input assistance to the farmers at the rate of Rs 19,257/- per acre to the quantity of paddy procured.
• For any assistance regarding the scheme, the beneficiaries farmers must contact the nodal authority of the scheme.

Scheme Benefits

• Chhattisgarh farmers will receive the following benefits under Krishak Unnati Scheme : -
  • The Government will Purchase the Paddy Crop from Farmers.
  • Paddy Crop will be purchased at Rs. 3,100/- per Quintal.
  • Government will Purchase 21 Quintal per Acre of Paddy Crop from Farmers.
  • Bank Cash Withdrawal Counter will be established in every Panchayat Bhawan.
  • Government also ensures the availability of Bags before Purchasing the Paddy Crop.

Eligibility Requirements

• In order to receive the benefits of Krishak Unnati Yojana, the beneficiaries farmers must meet the following guidelines outlined in the scheme : -
  • Farmers must be a domiciled resident of Chhattisgarh.
  • Farmers must have registered themselves on Integrated Farmer Portal.
  • Farmers take a paddy seed production program in kharif season and also sell the normal paddy in cooperative societies.
  • The quantity of paddy sold by the farmers in cooperatives societies should not exceed the limit of their holding area.
  • Trust/boards/Pvt. Ltd. Company/ School Development Committee/ Central and State Government institutions/ Colleges/ Regah/ Sharecroppers/ Lease and Submerged area farmers will not receive scheme benefits.

  • Aadhaar Card.
  • Mobile Number (linked with Bank Account).
  • Address Proof.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Land Details.
  • Committee Details.
  • Loan Book number.

Steps to Apply

• Beneficiaries farmers must apply for the Krishak Unnati Scheme to receive its benefits.
• It is mandatory for the farmers to first register themselves at Integrated Farmer Portal.
• For registration applicants need to submit an application form.
• Application form for integrated Farmer portal can be downloaded online.
• Farmers need to provide the details as requested.
• Affix the requested documents with the application form.
• Now submit this filled in application form to the Rural Agricultural Extension Officer (RAEO).
• Committee will verify the details submitted in the application form.
• Farmers Land record details will be verified automatically from Bhuiyan Portal.
• After successful verification, farmers will receive the UFID number (Unique Farmers Registration number) via SMS on their mobile number.
