Scheme Introduction
- The Andhra Pradesh TDP government has announced to provide yearly financial assistance to all school going children.
- For this, the government will implement the Andhra Pradesh Thalliki Vandanam Scheme across the state.
- Under this scheme, the government has promised to provide a sum of Rs. 15,000/- to all school going children.
- Benefits provided under the scheme will be credited directly into the beneficiary mother bank account.
- The main objective of the scheme is to encourage these children to pursue education for a better future and to improve the state literacy rate.
- Somewhere, the scheme resembled the previous government scheme, Jagananna Amma Vodi Scheme, which also provides yearly assistance of Rs 15,000/-.
- The government will deduct Rs 2,000/- from the assistance amount for school development and to maintain hygiene in the school.
- It means, beneficairies will receive only 13,000/- under the scheme.
- The benefits of the AP Thalliki Vandanam scheme will be forwarded to children who meet its eligibility guidelines.
- On June 12, 2025, the government has released the eligibility criteria of Thalliki Vandanam Scheme.
- The monthly income of the families should not exceed Rs 10,000/- in rural areas and Rs 12,000 in urban areas.
- Initially, the selection for the scheme will done through by collecting the data.
- Authority will collect such data from the school education department and intermediate board education.
- Data submitted by the respective department will undergo a regorous screening process.
- After the completion of verification process, the government will transfer the assistance amount into mother or guardina bank account.
- The enrollment in class 1 and class 11th will be considered for financial assistance for the academic year 2025-26.

Scheme Benefits
- Native students of Andhra Pradesh will receive the following benefits under the AP Thalliki Vandanam Scheme :-
- Every year, students will receive a sum of Rs 15,000/- .
- The fund will be credited into the account of mother or guardians of beneficiaries.
- Every child going to school, regardless of number will receive this assistance.
- An amount of Rs 2,000/- will be deducted from the assistance amount for the development of education in the State.
Eligibility Requirements
- Beneficiaries must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for the AP Thalliki Vandanam Scheme: -
- Only native children are eligible.
- Children must study in a government school/private aided or unaided schools.
- At least one person in the family must possess a rice ration card.
- Both girls and boys are eligible for the scheme.
- The monthly income of the families should not exceed Rs 10,000/- in rural areas and Rs 12,000 in urban areas.
- The monthly electricity consumption should be less than 300 units per month.
- Annual attendance of the students must be 75% in an academic year.
- Total land holding should be less than 3 acres of wet land or less than 10 acres of dry land or 10 acres of combining both.
- Beneficiary must be included in household database.
- Orphans and street children who have been enrolled through voluntary organisations are also eligible.
- Mother bank account must be linked with Aadhaar Number.
- Applicants must not receive benefits from other similar schemes offered by the central or state government.
Ineligibility Criteria of Scheme
- Families must not posses any Municipal Property 1000 osq. ft and above.
- If any families is paying income tax.
- If any members is employed in central or state government (Excluding sanitation workers)
- Must not posses a four wheeler (excluding taxi, auto, and tractors).
- Students enrolled for ITI/Polytechnic/IIIT and other similar courses benefitted by fee reibursement will not be considered.

- Passport Size photograph.
- Aadhaar Card.
- Birth Certificate.
- Caste Certificate.
- Parents ID proof.
- Address Proof.
- Income Proof.
- Rice Ration Card.
- Parents Bank Account details.

Steps to Apply
- The government has not released any application process for the Andhra Pradesh Thalliki Vandanam Scheme.
- However, they outlined the beneficiaries selection procedure for Andhra Pradesh Thalliki Vandanam Scheme.
- The nodal department will collect student data from School Education Department and the Board of Intermediate Education.
- This data will includes, student's name, Aadhaar number, Gender and other required personal details.
- In addition, the personal and bank details of the student's mother/Guardian will also be collected.
- Each respective institution will feed this data into the UDISE portal.
- The submitted data will be verified by the nodal department to ensure its authenticity.
- One the verification is complete, the assistance amount will be credited to the mother or guardian bank account.
