Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• The newly formed government in Andhra Pradesh announced several schemes during the assembly election.
• Among them, one scheme is dedicated to state farmers called "Annadata Sukhibhava Scheme".
• Under this scheme, eligible farmers will receive an yearly financial assistance of Rs 20,000/-.
• This assistance will be credited to farmer bank accounts through DBT mode.
• Both agriculture land owners and tenant farmers are eligible for Annadata Sukhibhava Scheme.
• The announced scheme is not entirely new but a renamed version of the previous government scheme called "YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme".
• In 2019, when the YSR Congress party voted to power, they scrapped the TDP Annadata Sukhibhava Scheme, and replaced it with the YSR Rythu Bharosa, providing Rs 7,500/- annually.
• Now, by increasing the assistance amount, TDP restored the scheme to its original name as "Annadata Sukhibhava Scheme"(ADSS).
• From now onwards, YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme will be known as "Annadata Sukhibhava Scheme".
• The scheme is also popular by other names such as "AP Annadata Sukhibhava Scheme" or "AP Annadata Sukhibhava Yojana", or "Anna Datha Sukhibhava Scheme" or "Annadata Sukhibhava Pathakam".
• Scheme primary objective is to provide financial support to state farmers, which they can use for purchasing seeds, fertilizer and other agricultural needs.
• With the help of centrally sponsored PM Kisan Yojana, farmers are already receiving an annual assistance of Rs 6,000/- in three equal installments.
• To extend the benefits, the state government introduced this Annadata Sukhibhava scheme, providing additional benefits to the farmer families covered under the PM Kisan scheme.
• Under the scheme, eligible farmers will receive yearly assistance of Rs 20,000/-, including the assistance of PM Kisan Yojana i.e. Rs 6,000/-
• It means, farmers will receive assistance of Rs 14,000/- under the Anna Data Sukhibhava Scheme and Rs 6,000/- from the PM Kisan Scheme.
• Like PM Kisan Yojana, the assistance under this scheme will be disbursed to farmers' accounts in three instalments.
• It is expected that farmers will receive Rs 5,000 each in the first and second instalment, with the remaining Rs 4,000/- in the third instalment.
• Meanwhile, the PM Kisan Yojana benefits will be credited Rs 2,000/- each in its three instalments.
• The state government is likely to credit the Anna Data Sukhibhava assistance on the same date when the central government credits the PM Kisan Scheme amount.
• Farmers fulfilling the eligibility conditions of Anna Data Sukhibhava Scheme can apply through a given mode.
• However, it is expected that the beneficiaries already registered for PM Kisan Yojana and YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme are not required to register afresh.

Scheme Benefits

• Under the Annadata Sukhibhava Scheme, farmers are eligible to receive the following benefits : -

  Annual Assistance of Rs 20,000/- per year to all farmers. Of this, Rs 14,000/- will be provided by the state government. The remaining Rs 6,000/- will be provided under PM Kisan Yojana. Assistance will be given in three installments. The amount will be credited directly to the farmers bank account.

Eligibility Requirement

• To be eligible for the annual assistance of Rs 20,000/-, farmers must meet the eligibility criteria of Annadata Sukhibhava Scheme, which are given as : -
  • Benefits are provided only to agriculture farmers.
  • Farmers must be domiciled residents of Andhra Pradesh.
  • Farmers must be a registered under PM Kisan Yojana.
  • Both land owner and landless tenant farmers are eligible.
  • Only one farmer from each household is eligible.

Required Documents

• In order to seek the benefits of Annadata Sukhibhava Scheme, applicants need to apply for it, and to do this they must keep the following documents ready with them : -
  • Aadhaar Card.
  • Land Documents.
  • Tenant documents (if any).
  • Address proof.
  • Photograph.
  • Bank Passbook Copy (front page).
  • PAN Card.
  • Mobile Number. (Aadhaar linked)
  • E-mail ID.
  • Domicile issued from competent authority.
  • Income Certificate (if required)
  • Others as stated in the scheme guidelines.

Steps to Apply

• Farmers can apply for the Annadata Sukhibhava Scheme through the provided mode.
• Currently, the government has not shard the scheme guidelines or any official notification.
• The official portal of the Annadata Sukhibhava Scheme is under development, providing key details about the scheme.
• Once the guidelines of Annadata Sukhibhava Scheme are available, we will share the application details here.
• However, it is expected that the farmers registered under the PM Kisan and YSR Rythu Bharosa will receive the scheme benefits directly.
• Once we receive any confirmed information about this, we will share them here promptly.
