Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• Finance Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Suresh Khanna presents State Budget on 20-02-2025.
• He announced to start "Rani Laxmi Bai Scooty Yojana" in the state for meritorious girl students.
• The main objective behind announcing this scheme is to encourage girl students to pursue for higher education.
• Rani Laxmi Bai Scooty Yojana also aims to reward girl students in Uttar Pradesh for their outstanding performance in the Class 12th board examination.
• Department of Higher Education of Uttar Pradesh Government is going to be the nodal department of this scheme.
• Free-of-cost scooty will be provided to all eligible meritorious girls students under Rani Laxmi Bai Scooty Yojana.
• Scooty provided under this scheme can be used by girl beneficiaries for thier daily commute from home to college and back.
• Free Scooty under Rani Laxmibai Free Scooty Scheme will only be provided to class 12th meritorious girls who passed their board examination and secure the highest marks.

Scheme Benefits

• Eligible Class 12th Meritorious Girl Students who are currently studying in college will get the below mentioned benefits from the Uttar Pradesh Government under Rani Laxmibai Scooty Yojana :-
  • Free of Cost Scooty will be provided.
  • Each Meritorious Girl Student will get a Scooty from the Government without any cost.

Eligibility Requirements

• Uttar Pradesh Government will provide a free-of-cost scooty to only those students who fulfill the following eligibility conditions of Rani Laxmi Bai Scooty Yojana : -
  • Permanent Resident Girl Students of Uttar Pradesh are only Eligible.
  • The girl should be a Class 12th Meritorious Student.
  • Girl Student should be in her First Year of College.
  • Remaining Eligibility Conditions will be issued with the guidelines.

• Beneficiary Meritorious Girl Students will have to submit the following expected documents when submitting an application to get a free scooty under Uttar Pradesh Government's Rani Laxmi Bai Scooty Yojana : -
  • Aadhaar Card.
  • Residence Proof.
  • Class 10th and Class 12th Marksheet.
  • Income Certificate.
  • Domicile Certificate.

• Uttar Pradesh Government announced Rani Laxmi Bai Scooty Yojana in the State budget for the year 2025-2026.
