Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• Finally, the Telangana government launched its much awaited housing scheme called the "Indiramma Indlu Scheme".
• This scheme aims to fulfills the dream of owning a house for the poor.
• On the occasion of Republic Day, the government launched four welfare scheme such as : -
  • Rythu Bharosa Scheme.
  • Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa Scheme.
  • issuance of Ration Card and,
  • Indiramma Housing Scheme.
• Under the Indiramma Indlu Scheme, the government will provide an assistance of Rs 5 lakh for house construction to the poor who already owned land.
• Whereas, beneficiaries not possessing any land or plot will receive a piece of land and Rs 5 Lakh.
• This scheme is one of the 6 guarantees of Congress party announced in the 2023 assembly election.
• The primary objective of the scheme is to fulfil the dream of owning a house by providing a concrete house to landless poor living in thatched house.
• The scheme is also popular by other names such as "Telangana Free Land Distribution Scheme" or "Telangana Indiramma Illu Yojana" or "Indiramma Housing Scheme" or "Indiramma Housing Thittam".
• Scheme also promises a land of 250 sq. yd. to Telangana movement fighters or activists.
• Eligible beneficiaries need to apply for the Telangana Indiramma Indlu Scheme to receive its benefits.
• The government will identify the beneficiaries to provide scheme benefits and for this a survey will be conducted.
• Based on the survey, the government has released the list on January 23, 2025 online at indirammaindlu.telangana.gov.in.
• According to the report, 18.32 lakhs individuals have been identified through the Indiramma App.
• The benefit of Indiramma Indlu Scheme will be provided in phase wise manner.
• In the first phase, the government will sanction 3,500 houses in each assembly constituency.
• Beneficiaries can fill the Indiramma Indlu Scheme Application Form and avail the benefit of Free of Cost Housing Site and Assistance for House Construction.
• Government will share other details about the scheme through its guidelines.
• Strict guidelines will be laid down by the government, so that no one can misuse the funds allotted under the scheme.
• A dedicated portal has also been designed by the government for the Indiramma Indlu scheme.

Scheme Benefits

• Telangana Government will provide the following benefits to landless and homeless people of Telangana under Indiramma Indlu Scheme :-
  • Free of Cost Land for House Construction to landless poor.
  • Financial Assistance of Rs. 5,00,000/- for house construction.
  • Housing Site/ Land of 250 Square Yards to Telangana Movement Activist/ Fighters.

Eligibility Requirements

• Telangana Government sets the following Eligibility Criteria in order to provide the Free of Cost Land and Monetary Assistance for House Construction under Indiramma Indlu Scheme of Government of Telangana : -
  • Beneficiary must be a Permanent Resident of Telangana.
  • Both landless and poor with land are eligible.
  • Telangana Movement Fighters/ Activists.

Required Documents

• The following documents is to be mandatorily needed at the time of applying for the benefit of Indiramma Indlu Scheme of Telangana Government : -
  • Residence Proof of Telangana.
  • Aadhaar Card.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Ration Card.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Certificate of Not Having Own Land and House.

Steps to Apply

• Beneficiaries who are eligible for the scheme and whose name is listed on the survey list can apply for the Indiramma Housing Scheme.
• Application for Indiramma Housing Scheme can be submitted through : -
  • Online by visiting the Praja Palana Centers.
  • Offline through Gram Panchayat / Gram Sabha / Municipal Corporation Office.

Online Application Process

• To submit the Indiramma Housing Scheme, visit the Praja Palana Centers.
• Request the operator to fill the Indiramma Housing Scheme application form.
• Provide the personal and other details during the form submission.
• Carefully, check each and every detail submitted in the application form.
• Share the essential documents which will be uploaded in the scanned format.
• After the application form is submitted, you will receive its intimation via SMS on your mobile number.
• Submitted applications will be scrutinized by the authority.
• Applicants who pass the scrutiny test are eligible to receive scheme benefits.
• Status of the submitted application can be checked from the Praja Palana Portal by submitting the application number received during the form submission.

Offline Application Process

• Homeless People and Beneficiaries who want Financial Assistance for House Construction can apply for Indiramma Indlu Scheme of Telangana Government through Application Form.
• Application Form of Telangana Indiramma Indlu Scheme is available free of cost at any of the below mentioned offices :-
  • Gram Panchayat Office.
  • Gram Sabha Office.
  • Municipal Corporation Office.
• Collect Indiramma Indlu Scheme Application Form.
• Fill the basic details line Name, Age, Caste, Address, Bank Account Details and Details of Family Members.
• Choose Indiramma Indlu Scheme in the Application Form from given 6 Guarantees.
• Attach all the required documents with the Application Form.
• Submit the Telangana Indiramma Indlu Scheme Application Form with all the documents in the same office from where it was collected.
• Officials from the concerned department will verify the details of application form and documents.
• List of Eligible Beneficiaries of Indiramma Indlu Scheme will then be made by the officials.
• Selected Beneficiaries will then get the benefit of Free of Cost Land for House, Rs. 5 Lakh for Construction of House and Housing Site to Telangana Movement Activist under Indiramma Indlu Scheme of Telangana Government.
