Introduction

  • Government of Punjab runs a major welfare pension scheme for the deprived people of State.
  • The name of Scheme is Punjab Pension Scheme.
  • The main objective behind launching Punjab Pension Scheme is to provide financial security to those sections of society who doesn't have any stable source of income.
  • Department of Social Security and Women & Child Development of Government of Punjab is the nodal department of this scheme.
  • There are 4 sub schemes under Punjab Pension Scheme which are as follows :-
  • In every sub scheme, Punjab Government is providing financial assistance of Rs. 1,500/- per Month as Pension to all the eligible beneficiaries.
  • The Annual Income Limit set by Government for all beneficiary is Rs. 60,000/- per Year.
  • Punjab Pension Scheme is a DBT scheme, so pension amount will directly transferred in the bank account of beneficiary.
  • Monthly Pension will be credited on quarterly basis i.e. once in a 4 month.
  • Eligible Beneficiary can apply for Punjab Pension Scheme through Online Application Form or Offline Application Form, Both the ways are applicable.

Eligibility

  • Applicant should be a Permanent Resident of Punjab.
  • The Annual Income should not be more than Rs. 60,000/- per Year.
  • Beneficiary who owns any of the below mentioned land are also eligible :-
    • Maximum 2.5 Acre Land of Nehri/ Chahi.
    • Maximum 5 Acre Land of Barani.
    • Waterlogged Area Land of 5 Acre.
  • Beneficiary residing in urban area should not have more than 200 square meters of house.
  • Some other required conditions acoording to the applicant's category are as follows :-

    • The Age of the beneficiary should be :-
      • For Women :- 58 Years or Above.
      • For Men :- 65 Years and Above.
    Punjab Widow And Destitute
    Women Pension Scheme
    • Women who are Eligible for pension are :-
      • Widow Women.
      • Destitute Women.
      • Divorcee or Unmarried Women.
    • The Age of the beneficiary should be :-
      • For Widow and Destitute Women :- 58 Years and Above.
      • For Divorcee and Unmarried Women :- 30 Years and Above.
    Punjab Disability Pension Scheme
    • Beneficiary should have Disability of 50% or More.
    Punjab Dependent Children
    Pension Scheme.
    • The Age of Children should be below 21 Years.
    • Only those children's are eligible who come under the following category :-
      • Whose Mother/ Father or Both Parents Passed Away.
      • Whose Parents are Disable and Not Abe to do Work.
      • Whose Father is Missing or Parents are Absent from House for Long.

  • Residence Proof/ Domicile of Punjab.
  • Self Declaration Letter.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Land Related Document/ Patwari Report. (In Rural Area)
  • EOMC Property Verification. (In Urban Area)
  • Any one document for Age Proof :-
    • Aadhar Card.
    • Voter Identity Card.
    • Birth Certificate.
    • Matriculation Certificate.

      • UDID Card.
      • Disability Certificate.
      • Civil Surgeon Disability Certificate.
    • Any One Document for Parents/Guardian as Residence Proof :-
      • Driving License.
      • Passport.
      • Voter Card.
      • Aadhar Card.
    Punjab Dependent Children
    Pension Scheme .
    • Following Document will be Needed as per the Requirement :-
      • Both Parent's Death Certificate (If Parents are not Alive)
      • Husband Death Certificate. (If Father of Child is Dead)
      • Disability Certificate/ UDID Card. (If Child Father is Disabled)
      • FIR. (If Child Father is Missing)
      • Copy of Divorsed Certificate (If Child Mother is Divorcee)
    • Any One Document as Residence Proof :-
      • Aadhar Card.
      • Driving License.
      • Voter Card.
      • Passport.

Online Application Process

  • Eligible Beneficiary can avail the benefit of monthly pension by filling the Online Application Form of Punjab Pension Scheme.
  • Online Application Form of Punjab Pension Scheme is available on Punjab Government's Digital Punjab Portal.
  • Beneficiary has to Register themselves first on the portal.
  • For Registration, Applicant has to fill the following details :-
    • Name of Applicant.
    • Mobile Number.
    • Email ID.
    • Gender.
    • Password.
  • After Registration, Login on the same portal and choose any one pension scheme mentioned below according to applicant's category :-
    • Punjab Old Age Pension Scheme.
    • Punjab Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme.
    • Punjab Disability Pension Scheme.
    • Punjab Dependent Children Pension Scheme.
  • Fill the following detail in Pension Scheme Online Application Form :-
    • Personal Details .
    • Contact Number.
    • Bank Account Details.
  • Upload all the required document on the portal.
  • Click on Submit Button to Submit the Application Form of Pension Scheme.
  • The Submitted Application will be scrutinized by the following Officers of Social Security and Women and Child Development Department :-
    • Child Development Project Officer.
    • District Social Security Officers.
  • After Verification, Selected Beneficiary will get Monthly Pension of Rs, 1,500/-per month in their given account.
  • Beneficiary can also check the Application Status of Punjab Pension Scheme Online.
