Mode of Apply

Introduction

  • Punjab Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme is the major social welfare scheme of Punjab Government.
  • The main objective behind launching this scheme is to provide monthly pension to those women who don't have any sustainable income source.
  • This Scheme is implemented by Social Security and Women & Child Development Department of Punjab Government.
  • This scheme is also called "Punjab Financial Assistance to Widow and Destitute Women".
  • Punjab Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme is bascially a combination of several other schemes which are :- "Punjab Widow Pension Scheme" and "Punjab Destitute Women Pension Scheme" and "Punjab Unmarried Women Pension Scheme".
  • All Eligible Beneficiary will get Monthly Pension of Rs. 1,500/- per month.
  • Financial Assistance as pension will be disbursed among beneficiary on quarterly basis i.e. once in a 4 months.
  • The applicable age limit under Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme of Punjab Government are :-
    • Below 58 Years for Widow and Destitute Women.
    • Above 30 Years for Divorcee or Unmarried Women.
  • If Beneficiary Women own land according to any of the below limit then she is also eligible for monthly pension :-
    • Maximum Land of 2.5 Acre Nehri/ Chahi OR,
    • Maximum Land of 5 Acre Barani OR,
    • Waterlogged Area Land of 5 Acre.
  • Annual income of an beneficiary should not be less than Rs 60,000/- per year.
  • If Beneficiary is a income tax payer, then she will not be considered eligible under this scheme.
  • Widow, Destitute, Divorcee and Unmarried Women are eligible for Monthly Financial Assistance as Pension under this scheme.
  • Pension will be directly transferred in the bank account of beneficiary once in a 4 month.
  • Eligible Beneficiary can apply for Monthly Pension through the following means :-

    • Monthly Pension of Rs. 1,500/- per Month will be provided.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Beneficiary should be a Permanent Resident of Punjab .
  • The Annual Income of Beneficiary should not be more than Rs. 60,000/-per year .
  • The below mentioned women are eligible for monthly pension :-
    • Widow Women.
    • Destitute Women.
    • Divorcee/ Unmarried Women.
  • Beneficiary should not be residing in more than 200 Square Meter of House in Urban Area.
  • The Age of the beneficiary should be :-
    Beneficiary Age Limit
    Widow or Destitute Women Below 58 Years.
    Divorcee/ Unmarried Women Above 30 Years.
  • Beneficiary should own any of the below mentioned amount of land :-
    • Maximum 2.5 Are Nehri or Chahi Land ,OR.
    • Maximum 5 Acre Barani Land ,OR.
    • Waterlogged 5 Acre Land .

How to Apply

Online Application Process

  • Eligible Beneficiary can avail the benefit of monthly pension by filling the Online Application Form of Punjab Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme .
  • Online Application Form of Punjab Widow And Destitute Women Pension Scheme is available on Punjab Government's Digital Punjab Portal .
  • Beneficiary has to Register themselves first on the portal.
  • Following details will be filled at the time of Registration :-
    • Beneficiary Name.
    • Password.
    • Mobile Number.
    • Email.
    • Gender.
  • After Registration, Login with Email ID/ Mobile Number and Chosen Password.
  • Choose Widow And Destitute Women Pension Scheme after Login and fill the following detail in the Online Application Form :-
    • Personal Details.
    • Contact Details.
  • Upload all the required documents on the portal.
  • Click on the Submit Button to Submit the Online Application Form of Punjab Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme.
  • Initial verification of application forms will be done by Child Development Project Officer and then forwarded to District Social Security Officer for further approval.
  • After Verification, Selected Beneficiary will get monthly pension of Rs. 1500/- per month in their given bank account.
  • Beneficiary can also check the Application Status of Punjab Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme Online .

Offline Application Process

  • Beneficiary can also apply for monthly pension through Offline Application Form of Widow and Destitute Pension Scheme.
  • Offline Application Form of Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme is available at any of the below mentioned Offices/ Centres :-
    • Sewa Kendra .
    • Panchayat and B.D.P.O Office.
    • Anganwadi Centre.
    • Office of Child Development Project Officer.
    • SDM Office.
    • Office of District Social Security Officer.
  • Fill the Application Form Correctly.
  • Attach all the required document with the application form .
  • Submit the Application Form of Punjab Widow And Destitute Women Pension Scheme along with all the document in the same office or centre from where the application form was collected.
  • Received Application From and Document will be verified by Child Development Project Officer and Pension will be sanctioned by District Social Security Officer after the verification .
  • After Verification Selected Beneficiary will get monthly pension of Rs 1500/- per month in their given bank account.
