Introduction

• Mukhyamantri Sehat Bima Yojna is the major Health Care Scheme of the Punjab Government.
• It was Started in the year 2019.
• State Health Agency is the Nodal Agency of Mukhyamantri Sehat Bima Yojna.
• This Scheme is also called Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojna or Ayushman Bharat Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojna. (AB-MMSBY)
• The main objective behind launching Mukhyamantri Sehat Bima Yojna is to provide basic health care facilities to the people of Punjab.
• Under this scheme beneficiaries will take the benefit of cashless treatment up to Rs. 5 Lakh per family per year.
• More than 40 Lakh families is covered under Punjab Government's Mukhymantri Sehat Bima Yojna.
• This is scheme will provide health insurance over to 65 percent population of Punjab.
• Beneficiaries can avail the benefit in any public and empanelled private hospitals.
• To avail the benefit of Mukhyamantri Sehat Bima Yojna, Beneficiaries can apply for Ecard through their nearest :-
  • Common Service Center.
  • Market Committees.
  • Sewa Kendra.

Eligibility

• Residents of Punjab.
• SECC 2011 Data Families.
• Ration Card/ BPL Card Holder.
• J-Form Holder Families.
• Registered Small Traders.
• Small and Marginal Farmers.
• Yellow Card Journalist.
• Registered Construction Worker.

Documents Required

• Aadhar Card.
• Ration Card.
• Family Declaration. (If no Ration Card).
• Income Certificate.
• Construction Worker Card. (If belong to that Category).

How to Apply

• The beneficiary does not need to apply anywhere for the Mukhyamantri Sehat Bima Yojna.
• Eligible Families will be identified through the following lists :-
  • SECC 2011 Data.
  • Food and Civil Supplies list for Ration Card Holders.
  • List Provided by Punjab Mandi Board for Small and Marginal Farmers and J Form Holders.
  • Excise and Taxation Department List for Small Traders Families.
  • PUNMEDIA List for Yellow Card Holder Journalists.
  • And Construction Worker Welfare Board List for Construction Worker Families.
• Eligible Beneficiaries can only need an ECard to avail the benefit under Mukhyamantri Sehar Bima Yojna.
• An Ecard can be printed by paying Rs. 30/- at any Common Service Center and Sewa Kendra.
• Eligible person can get his treatment done by going to any government or empaneled private hospital with their Ecard.
• This facility is completely cashless, for this the beneficiary does not need to pay any money up to Rs. 5 Lakh.

• Mukhyamantri Sehat Bima Yojna is a direct assurance health cover scheme.
• It covers the expenses of 3 Days of Pre Hospitalization and 15 Days of Post Hospitalization.
• It covers 1579 procedures including all the cost of treatment.
• Every Beneficiary will get Mukhyamantri Sehat Bima Yojna ECard.
• Ecard will be printed from any common service center or sewa kendra by paying Rs. 30/-.
