Scheme Benefits

• Under the Gopabandhu Sikhya Sahayata Yojana, eligible students will receive following benefits : -

Eligibility Requirement

• To receive the benefits of Gopabandhu Sikhya Sahayata Yojana, students must meet the updated eligibility conditions. If anyone fails to qualify specified criteria will not be allowed to receive scheme benefits.

  Students must belong to any of the given families : - Families affected by HIV/AIDS. Homeless Households. Destitute/Begging households. Manual Scavenger families. Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) Legally released bonded labourers. Raised by a single mother (due to widowhood, divorce, or unmarried status). Transgender community students. Girls Students rescued from child marriage, currently staying in shelter home or rehabilitation centre. Such girls will receive benefits until she remains in the shelter home or hostel and till the academic year in which she turns 21 or gets married (whichever comes first). Special Cared Children (orphans children without any biological or legal parents or adoptive). Must be a permanent and domiciled resident of Odisha. Must enroll for graduation or post graduation courses offered by accredited institutions in Odisha. Annual income of the households should be less than 2.5 lakh.

  • Specially care child certificate issued from district child protection officer (if applicable)
  • Transgender Certificate.
  • Student's Bank Passbook.
  • Certificate issued to girl child rescued from child marriage and her stay in rehabilitation centre.
  • Age proof (Aadhaar Card/ Birth certificate/ or matric certificate)
  • Passport Size photo.
  • Institution admission slip.

Steps to Apply

• Applicants can submit Gopabandhu Sikhya Sahayata Yojana applications online.
• Application forms for Gopabandhu Sikhya Sahayata Yojana are available at Odisha State Scholarship Portal.
• Its application process will go through mainly two stages i.e.
  • Online Registration.
  • Online Form Submission.

Registration Process

• Applicants who are not registered on the portal must complete the registration first.
• Visit the Odisha State Scholarship Portal.
• On the home page, select the 'Register Here' tab under the 'Login' section.
• Read the one time online registration details, select the checkbox, and press the 'Proceed Tab'.
• Enter your Aadhaar number in the space given and press the 'Get OTP' tab.
• Enter the OTP received on your Aadhaar registered mobile number.
• Provide the requested details and press the 'Submit' tab.
• After successful registration, applicants will receive a Email.

Application Process

• To submit an application form for Gopabandhu Sikhya Sahayata Yojana applicants need to login with the details.
• Press the 'Login' tab from the Odisha State Scholarship Portal.
• Enter the Aadhaar number and password.
• Press the 'Sign in' tab to complete the process.
• Now select the Gopabandhu Sikhya Sahayata Yojana from your dashboard.
