Introduction

• Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Kisaan Evam Khetihar Mazdoor Jeevan Suraksha Yojana is the major agricultural sector reform scheme of Himachal Pradesh Government.
• It was started in the year 2015.
• The main objective behind launching this scheme is to provide financial security cover to Farmers and Agricultural Labourers of Himachal Pradesh.
• Department of Agriculture of Himachal Pradesh Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• Mukhyamantri Kisaan Evam Khetihar Mazdoor Jeevan Suraksha Yojana is known by many names in Himachal Pradesh such as :-
• Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Farmer and Agricultural Labourer Life Insurance Scheme.
• Mukhyamantri Farmer and Agricultural Labourer Life Security Scheme.
• Under Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Kisaan Evam Khetihar Mazdoor Jeevan Suraksha Yojana, Government of Himachal Pradesh will provide financial assistance to all farmers and agricultural labourers in case of any mishap occur during operation of farm machinery.
• Financial Assistance under this scheme will depend on the nature of injury happened to the farmer or to agricultural labourer.
• In case of death, the amount of assistance provided will be Rs. 3,00,000/-.
• And in case of full or partial disability, the amount of financial assistance will vary from Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 1,00,000/-.
• Farmers and Agricultural Labourers of 14 Years or Above Age are only eligible for financial assistance under this scheme.
• Financial Assistance under Mukhyamantri Farmer and Agricultural Labourer Life Insurance Scheme will only be provided if death or injury occurred due to operation of below mentioned farm machinery :-
  • By Operating Tractor for Agricultural Purpose.
  • Power Tiller.
  • Power Plough.
  • Power Thresher.
  • Chaffcutters.
  • Reaper cum Binder.
  • Operating Tube Wells or Borewells.
  • Due to Electric Shock.
• Legal Heir will apply for claim in case of death of farmer or agricultural labourer.
• Eligible Beneficiary can claim for financial assistance under Mukhyamantri Kisaan Evam Khetihar Mazdoor Jeevan Suraksha Yojana through Online and Offline Application Forms.

Benefits

• The following financial assistance will be provided to all beneficiaries under Mukhyamantri Kisaan Evam Khetihar Mazdoor Suraksha Yojana :-

  Disability due to Backbone Breakage or Some Other Cause	Rs. 1,00,000/-
  In Case of Amputation of 2 Limbs	Rs. 40,000/-
  In Case of Amputation of 1 Limb	Rs. 30,000/-
  Amputation of Full Fingers	Rs. 20,000/-
  Amputation of Half Finger or Thumb	Rs. 10,000/-

Eligibility

• Kisaan or Khetihar Mazdoor should be a Resident of Himachal Pradesh.
• The Age of Kisaan or Khetihar Mazdoor should be above 14 years at the time of accident.
• The cause of death or disability should be due to Operation of Farm Machinery.
• Application for Claim should be submitted by Legal Heir in case of Death.

Eligible Circumstance in Which Claim is Applicable

• Claim under Mukhyamantri Kisaan Evam Khetihar Mazdoor Jeevan Suraksha Yojana will be provided only in below mentioned circumstances :-
  • In Case of Death.
  • Permanent Disability Due to Backbone Breakage or From Some Any Other Reason.
  • Amputation of 2 Limbs.
  • Amputation of 1 Limb.
  • Amputation of All Fingers.
  • Amputation of Half Finger or Thumb.

Online Application Process

• Beneficiary can claim the financial assistance under Mukhyamantri Kisaan Evam Khetihar Mazdoor Jeevan Suraksha Yojana through by filling Online Application Form.
• Online Application Form of Mukhyamantri Kisaan Evam Khetihar Mazdoor Jeevan Suraksha Yojana is available at Himachal Pradesh Agricultural Department Portal.
• Registration is must before filling Claim Application Form.
• Following Details will be filled in the Registration Form :-

• Login on the same portal after registration.
• Choose Mukhyamantri Kisaan Evam Khetihar Mazdoor Jeevan Suraksha Yojana from the scheme list.
• Fill the Online Application Form and upload all the required documents.
• Preview the Application Form carefully and click on submit button after that.
• Submitted Application Form along with all the documents will be scrutinized by the department of agriculture officials.
• After Verification, the amount of financial assistance will be transferred in the bank account of beneficiary.

Offline Application Process

• Eligible Beneficiary can also claim for financial assistance under Mukhyamantri Kisaan Evam Khetihar Mazdoor Jeevan Suraksha Yojana through Offline Application Form.
• Offline Application Form of Kisaan Evam Khetihar Mazdoor Jeevan Suraksha Yojana is available free of cost at Gram Panchayat Office.
• Fill the Application Form correctly and attach all the required documents with it.
• Submit the duly filled application form along with all the documents in the office of Gram Panchayat.
• Officials from Department of Agriculture will scrutinized the received application form.
• Financial Assistance under Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Kisaan Evam Mazdoor Suraksha Yojana will be transferred in the given bank account of beneficiary after verification.
