Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

  • Aapla Dawakhana Yojana is the major health care scheme of Maharashtra Government.
  • It was started in the name of Late Sh. Balasaheb Thackery to pay tribute to him.
  • That's why the full name of this scheme is "Hinduhridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray - Aapla Dawakhana Yojana".
  • The main objective behind starting Maharashtra Aapla Dawakhana Yojana is to provide basic medical facilities free of cost to people of Maharashtra.
  • The Public Health Department of Maharashtra Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
  • Earlier it was started as a pilot project in some part of Maharashtra by opening Medical Dispensaries, Port -a- Cabins, Ready Structures and by empaneling Diagnostic Centers.
  • But in the budget of 2023-2024, Maharashtra Government announced to implement Hindu Hridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray - Aapla Dawakhana Yojana in the entire Maharashtra.
  • Till date, 32 Dispensaries, 16 Port -a- Cabins, 1 Ready Structure and 15 Diagnostic Centers and Polyclinics are functional across Maharashtra.
  • The Government of Maharashtra will now decide to open 700 clinics in entire Maharashtra to provide free treatment and free of cost medical tests.
  • The health services timing in Aapla Dawakhana is 7 AM to 10 PM.
  • More than 10 Lakh beneficiary is benefitted till date under Hindu Hridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Aapla Dawakhana.
  • People of Maharashtra can avail the benefit of free of cost treatment and medical test by visiting their nearest Aapla Dawakhana.

  • Following Diagnostic Services on Subsidized Rates :-
    • X-Ray.
    • Sonography.
    • Mammography.
    • ECG.
    • C.T Scan.
    • MRI

Eligibility Requirements

  • To receive the benefits of Aapla Dawakhana Yojana, applicant should be a Permanent Residents of Maharashtra.

Required Documents

  • Essential Documents that are needed at the time of visiting Aapla Dawakhana Yojana for Free Medical Check Up and Treatment are :-
    • Aadhaar Card.
    • Mobile Number.

Steps to Apply

  • There is no need to apply separately in order to avail the benefit of Hinduhridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray - Aapla Dawakhana Yojana.
  • Beneficiaries can simply visit the nearest Aapla Dawakhana Clinic/ Polyclinic/ Diagnostic Center with the necessary documents for Health Checkup and Treatment.
  • Appointment will be given to the beneficiary at the time when they reach the Aapla Dawakhana.
  • Doctors present at the clinic will check the patients and recommend best possible treatment to them.
  • All the services in Aapla Dawakhana are free of cost, no fees will be charged.
