Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• The Government of Maharashtra has launched an initiative to provide health screening facilities to all women, including mothers and pregnant women.
• Benefiting beneficiaries above 18 years of age, the scheme is known as "Mata Surakshit Tar Ghar Surakshit Abhiyan".
• The main objective of the scheme is to ensure proper medical screening and counselling for safe and sound health of the beneficiaries.
• Various camps will be organised for the scheme, whose door to door information will be provided by the Anganwadi worker, Asha and others.
• At these camps, eligible women can receive various medical screening facilities that assess their current health status and recommend preventive measures for any concerns.
• As we all know women play a pivotal role in every household but they often neglect their own health.
• With the help of Mata Surakshit Tar Ghar Surakshit Abhiyan, the health status of these can be accurately diagnosed and addressed.
  
• Mata Surakshit Tar Ghar Surakshit Abhiyan was introduced by the Maharashtra Government in the year 2022.
• The campaign has been started on the Occasion of Navratri, for the health check- up of women, Mother, and Pregnant women.
• Mata Surakshit Tar Ghar Surakshit Abhiyan is regulated by the Public Health Department of Maharashtra.
• Health Minister Dr.Tanaji Sawant has expressed the determination to continue the campaign till the health check-up of all the women in the state.
• The health camp will be organized in the Anganwadi center of the village with the help of following workers:-
  • Asha volunteers.
  • Anganwadi volunteers.
  • Health workers.

Scheme Benefits

• Mata Surakshit Tar Ghar Surakshit Abhiyan offers Health check-up and Medication facilities to 4 crore woman and girls of Maharastra.

Eligibility Requirements

• Benefit of Mata Surakshit Tar Ghar Surakshit Abhiyan will be provided to women who meet its following eligibility criteria : -
  • The applicant should be resident of Maharashtra.
  • Scheme is only for the women beneficiaries.
  • The Age of eligible Women should be 18 years and above.

Required Documents

• Applicants must keep any one identity proof issued by the state government or central government with them while visiting the camp organised under the scheme.

Steps to Apply

• Applicants are not required to apply for the Mata Surakshit Tar Ghar Surakshit Abhiyan.
• Various camps will be organised to provide scheme benefits.
• Camps information will be provided by the Asha and Anganwadi Workers through their door to door campaign.
• Beneficiary women must visit the camps to receive scheme benefit.
• During their visit women beneficiaries must keep one identity proof with them.
