Delhi Old Age Pension Scheme

Introduction

• Delhi Old Age Pension Scheme is the major social welfare scheme of Delhi Government.
• The main objective behind launching this scheme is to provide a stable monthly income to those residents of delhi who do not have any income source.
• Department of Social Welfare of Delhi Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• Monthly Financial Assistance as pension will be provided by Delhi Government to all eligible beneficiaries under Delhi Old Age Pension Scheme.
• Delhi Government divided beneficiaries of Old Age Pension Scheme in below mentioned groups :-

  Group 1	60 Years to 69 Years Age Group Applicants.
  Group 2	70 Years and Above Age Group Applicants.

• Financial Assistance is also slightly different for both the age group applicant such as :-

  Applicant Group	Amount of Pension
  Group 1 (60 Years to 69 Years	Rs. 2,000/- per Month.
  Group 2 (70 Years and Above)	Rs. 2,500/- per Month
  Additional Rs. 500/- will be provided to SC/ ST/ Minority Applicant.

• Along with fix monthly pension amount, Government of Delhi is providing additional assistance of Rs. 500/- to below mentioned category applicant :-
  • Schedule Caste.
  • Schedule Tribe.
  • Minority.
• Eligible Applicant can apply for monthly pension under Delhi Old Age Pension Scheme through Online Application Form available at Delhi E District Portal.

Benefits

• The following financial assistance as monthly pension will be provided to eligible beneficiaries under Delhi Old Age Pension Scheme :-
  • Pension Rs. 2,000/- per Month to those Applicant whose Age is between 60 Years to 69 Years.
  • Pension of Rs. 2,500/- per Month to those Applicant whose Age is 70 Years or Above.
  • Additional Rs. 5,00/- per Month on Pension Amount will be provided to Applicant belongs to SC/ ST/ Minority Community.

Eligibility

• Applicant should be Resident of Delhi for not less than 5 Years.
• Age of Applicant should be 60 Years or More.
• The Annual Income of Applicant should be less than Rs. 1,00,000/- per Year.
• Applicant should not be a receipant of any other Financial Assistance from Government.

• The below mentioned documents is required at the time of applying for Delhi Old Age Pension Scheme :-
  • Residence Proof of Delhi.
  • Proof of Age.
  • Income Certificate.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • BPL Card. (If Applicable).
  • Passport Size Photo.
  • Caste Certificate. (If Applicable)
  • Mobile Number.

Online Application Process

• Eligible Applicant can apply for Monthly Pension under Delhi Old Age Pension Scheme through Online Application Form.
• Online Application Form of Delhi Old Age Pension Scheme is available at Delhi E District Portal.
• Applicant has to Register himself/ herself first.
• Aadhar Card is mandotarily needed for Registration.
• After Registration, Login on the Delhi E District Portal with received User Name and Password.
• After that, Choose Delhi Old Age Pension Scheme from the Apply for Services Tab.
• Fill the below mentioned details in Delhi Old Age Pension Scheme Application Form :-
  • Applicant Personal Details.
  • Applicant Contact Details.
  • Upload all the Required Documents.
• Preview the Application Form and Click on Submit Button to Submit Delhi Old Age Pension Scheme Application Form.
• Application Form along with all the documents will be scrutinized by the Department of Social Welfare Officials.
• Selected Beneficiary will get monthly pension amount according to their age in their given bank account.

Features of Scheme

• Eligible Beneficiary can also apply for Delhi Old Pension on New Delhi Municipal Council Portal.
• Application Form of Delhi Old Age Pension Scheme will be sanctioned within 45 days of its receiving.
• For Age Proof, Any One Documents is applicable at the time of filling Delhi Old Pension Scheme Application Form :-
  • Birth Certificate.
  • 10th Marksheet or Certificate.
  • Driving License.
  • Voter Identity Card.
  • Passport.
  • PAN Card.
  • Ration Card.
  • School Leaving Certificate.
