Odisha E Medhabruti Scheme

Introduction

• Odisha E Medhabruti Scheme is the major student welfare scheme of the Odisha Government.
• It was started in the year 2015.
• Higher Education Department of Odisha Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• The main objective behind launching this scheme is to encourage students to pursue their higher education.
• Under E Medhabruti Scheme, Government of Odisha will provide financial assistance to students.
• The following financial assistance will be provided to students under Odisha E Medhabruti Scheme :-
• Rs, 5,000/- per year to Graduation Students.
• Rs. 10,000/- per year to Post Graduation Students.
• Rs. 10,000/- per year to Technical and Professional Courses Students.
• Financial Assistance will be provided directly in the bank account of beneficiary students.
• Only those students are elgible to apply who secured minimum 60% marks in their previous qualifying exam.
• Only 14,500 of total scholarship are available under Odisha E Medhabruti Scheme.
• Student can apply for Odisha E Medhabruti Scheme online through Odisha State Scholarship Portal.

Eligibility Conditions

• Students of Odisha.
• Anuual Income should not be more than Rs. 6 Lakh.
• Student must secured 60% Marks in their Previous Qualifying Examination.
• Student should be in 1st year of his/her course.

• Caste Certificate.
• Income Certificate.
• Mobile Number.
• Education Related Documents.
• Admission Related Documents.

How to Apply

• Students have to visit Odisha State Scholarship Portal to apply for E Medhabruti Scheme.
• Student have to Register themselves first.
• After Registration, Login in the Odisha State Scholarship Portal Again.
• Fill the personal details and educational details.
• Upload the required documents.
• And Submit the Form.
• Once submitted the application form and the documents are subject to verification.
• Verification will be done by the department officials.
• Once the application verified, the financial assistance will be transferred in the bank account of the student.

Features of the Scheme

• Out of total 14,500 scholarship seats, the course wise distribution are as follows :-
  • 6,000 for Graduation.
  • 2,500 for Post Graduation.
  • 6,000 for Technical and Professional Courses.
• Financial Assistance under E Medhabruti Scheme will be provided for specific time period as follows :-
  • 3 Years for Graduation.
  • 2 Years for Post Graduation.
  • Till the Course Completion for Technical and Professional Courses.
• Selection of Students for Odisha E Medhabruti Scheme will be solely based on merit.
