Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme

Introduction

• Chief Minister of Assam Sh. Himanta Biswa Sarma announced to start Assam State's biggest self employment generation scheme.
• The name of scheme is "Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme".
• The main objective of Government of Assam behind starting Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme is to encourage self income generation activities among youths and to promote entrepreneurship in State.
• Assam Atmanirbhar Scheme directly benefits the unemployed and micro entrepreneur youths who belongs to BPL and Low Income Group Families.
• Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme is also known by some other name in Assam like "Mukhyamantrir Atmanirbharshil Asom Scheme" or "Mukhyamantrir Atmanirbharshil Asom Abhiyan" or "Assam Chief Minister Atmanirbhar Scheme" or "Chief Miniser Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan".
• Government of Assam will provide free of cost skill and entrepreneurship training of 1 month to all eligible youths of State.
• Trained Youth will get Stipend of Rs. 10,000/- after successfully completion of training.
• Now Assam Government will provide the Interest Free Loan under Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme to Trained Youth so that they can start their own income generation activity and become self employed.
• This entrepreneurship loan will also consist Government Aid which will not to be returned back to bank.
• Loan Amount under Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme are Rs. 2,00,000/-, Rs. 3,00,000/-, and Rs. Rs. 5,00,000/-.
• This loan will be provided in two instalment and this consist both Government Grant and Interest Free Loan.
• It is to be estimated that 2 lakh youth will get benefit of Mukhyamantrir Atmanirbharshil Asom Scheme in 2 Years.
• After Training, Trained Youth will start any of the below mentioned activity under Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme :-
  • Self Employment Activity in Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, Dairy and Poultry.
  • Packaging Business.
  • Ready Made Garments Business.
  • Plantation.
  • Setting Up of Wood Based Industry.
  • Fabrication Work.
  • Hardware.
  • Any Other Self Income Generation Activity.
• Minimum Qualification need to avail the benefit of Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme is Class 10th Passed for general category beneficiary.
• SC/ ST/ OBC beneficiaries educational qualification can be up to Class 10th passed.
• The Age Limit for General Category Applicant is 28 Years to 40 Years.
• But for SC/ ST/ OBC Applicant, the upper age limit is 43 years.
• Assam Government launched Chief Minister Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan Website for Scheme Registration.
• Beneficiary can visit the Official Portal and Apply for Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme through Online Application Form.
• Registration of Mukhyamantrir Atmanirbharshil Asom Abhiyan is started from 23-09-2023.
• The last date to apply for Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme is 07-11-2023.

Benefits of Scheme

• Youth of Assam will get the following benefits under Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme :-
  • Free of Cost Skill and Entrepreneurship Training will be Provided.
  • Time Period of Training will be One Month.
  • One Time Stipend of Rs. 10,000/- will be Provided after Completion of Training.
  • Interest Free Loan and Government Grant will be Provided to Start Income Generation Activity.
  • Loan Amount will be Rs. 2 Lakh, 3 Lakh, and 5 Lakh provided in two Instalment.

Eligibility

• Government of Assam sets the below mentioned eligibility conditions in order to avail the benefit of Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme of Assam Government :-
  • Beneficiary should be a Permanent Resident of Assam.
  • The Age of Beneficiary should be between 28 Years to 40 Years.
  • Age Limit for SC/ ST/ OBC Beneficiary is 43 Years.
  • Beneficiary should have minimum 10th Class Passed.
  • SC/ ST/ OBC Beneficiary Educational Qualification can be up to Class 10th.
  • Beneficiary should have skill or possess the Knowledge to Start Income Generation Activity.
  • Beneficiary should be Registered in Employment Exchange Office before 1st of April 2023.
  • Beneficiary should not be a Loan Defaulter.

• The following documents is required at the time of applying for entrepreneurship training under Assam Government's Mukhyamantri Armanirbhar Asom Scheme :-
  • Residence Proof of Assam.
  • PAN Card.
  • Class 10th Marksheet/ Certificate.
  • Age Proof.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Employment Exchange Card/ Registration Number.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Skill Proof. (If Any)

How to Apply

• Eligible Unemployed Youth can apply for free of cost entreprenuership training under Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme through Online Application Form.
• Online Application Form of Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme is available at Chief Minister Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan Portal.
• Beneficiary has to Register themselves by first by clicking on Sign Up Button.
• Fill the below mentioned detail in the Registration Form of Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme :-
  • Applicant Name.
  • Applicant Email.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Choose Password.
  • Confirm Password.
• Enter Security Code and Click on Send OTP.
• Registration of Beneficiary Youth will be done after OTP Verification.
• Now, Click on Scheme Registration Form to Register in Mukhyamantrir Atmanirbharshil Asom Scheme.
• Then after OTP Verification an Online Application Form of Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme will open.
• Fill the following details in the Application Form :-
  • Applicant Personal Details.
  • Applicant Contact Details.
  • Applicant Educational Details.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Upload the Required Documents.
• Click on Submit Button to Submit the Application Form of Chief Minister Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan.
• Print the Acknowledgement Certificate for future reference.
• Received Online Application of Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Abhiyan will be verified by the officials of Industries and Commerce Department of Assam Government.
• After verification training details will be provided to selected youth and funds will be transferred in the bank account through DBT mode.
• Registration under Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme is open from 23-09-2023.
• The last date to apply for Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme is 07-11-2023.
