Odisha Mukhyamantri Bayan Jyoti Scheme

Introduction

• Odisha Mukhyamantri Bayan Jyoti Scheme is the flagship scheme of Odisha Government.
• It was started in the year 2021.
• Odisha Government's Department of Handloom, Textiles and Handicraft is the nodal department of this scheme.
• The main objective behind launching this scheme is to provide financial assistance to handloom weavers of Odisha State to purchase the infrastructure items.
• Financial Assistance will be provided to handloom weavers to purchase below mentioned infrastructure items :-
  • One Inverter with Battery.
  • One Ceiling Fan.
  • Two LED Tube Light.
  • Wiring Material.
• The below mentioned financial assistance will be provided to the eligible beneficiary to purchase the infrastructure items :-
  • Rs. 13,500/- for Inverter. (Rs. 10,000/- for Battery).
  • Rs. 3,000/- for Ceiling Fan.
  • Rs. 700/- for 2 LED Tube Lights.
  • Rs. 300/- for Wiring and Miscellaneous Expenses.
• The whole cost of purchase will be borne by the Government of Odisha.
• Items should be purchased from registered GST Dealer.
• The annual family income of handloom weaver should be below Rs. 3,00,000/-.
• Eligible Beneficiaries can apply online through Odisha Government's Directorate of Textiles & Handloom Portal.

Eligibility

• Residents of Odisha.
• Beneficiary should be a Handloom Weaver or Ancillary Worker.
• The annual family income should be below Rs. 3,00,000/-.
• Half of the Beneficiary Family should be involved in Weaving Activity.
• Lighting Items should be purchased from GST Registered Dealer.

Benefits

• The Lighting Items of Rs. 17,500/- will be provided to beneficiary under Odisha Mukhyamantri Bayan Jyoti Scheme are as follows :-
  • Rs. 3,500/- for 650 VA Inverter.
  • Rs. 10,000/- for 12V, 100AH Lead Acid Battery.
  • Rs. 3,000/- for 35 Watt Ceiling Fan.
  • Rs. 700/- for 20 Watt 2 LED Tube Light
  • Rs. 300/- for Wiring and Miscellaneous Expenses.

• Passport Size Photograph.
• Weaver Identity Card.
• Bank Account Details.
• Income Certificate.
• No Sale Self Declaration Affidavit.

How to Apply

• The only way to apply for Mukhyamantri Bayan Jyoti Scheme is through Directorate of Textiles & Handlooms Portal.
• Beneficiary has to Register themselves first in the portal.
• After registration, Login on the same portal with chosen user name and password.
• After Login fill the below mentioned details in phase wise :-
  • Personal Details.
  • Contact Details.
  • Work Related Details.
  • Electricity Details.
  • Upload the Required Documents.
• Click on submit button.
• Zonal Officers of the department will scrutinize the application form and documents of the beneficiary.
• Beneficiaries selected under Mukhyamantri Bayan Jyoti Scheme will be informed through SMS.
