Gujarat Mukhyamantri Kisan Sahay Yojana

Introduction

• Every Year lots of farmers suffer major crop loss due to unexpected natural calamities.
• This can severely affect the livelihood of farmers and people depend on agriculture activity.
• To provide protection to farmers against the crop loss due to natural calamities, Government of Gujarat started Mukhyamantri Kisan Sahay Yojana.
• It was started in the year 2020.
• The main objective behind launching this scheme is to provide financial assistance to farmers of Gujarat in case of crop loss.
• Financial Assistance will only be provided to farmers if Crop Loss is due to natural calamities.
• The following natural calamities are added for financial assistance under Gujarat Mukhyamantri Kisan Sahay Yojana :-
  • Drought.
  • Heavy Rainfall.
  • Unseasonal Rainfall.
• More than 56 Lakh Farmers will get benefit under Mukhyamantri Kisan Sahay Yojana.
• Department of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Co-operation is the nodal department of this scheme.
• The following financial assistance will be provided to farmers in case of crop loss :-
  • Rs. 20,000/- per hectare will be provided if crop loss is from 33% to 60%.
  • Rs. 25,000/- per hectare will be provided if crop loss is 60%.
• No premium will have to pay by the farmers to get themselves registered under Mukhyamantri Kisan Sahay Yojana.
• Financial Assistance will only be paid up to maximum of 4 Hectares of Agricultural Land.
• Eligible Farmers can apply by visiting their nearest E Gram Centre to avail the benefit of financial assistance in case of crop loss.

Eligibility

• Permanent Residents of Gujarat.
• Applicant should be a Farmer.
• All Small, Marginal and Tenant Farmers are Eligible.
• Crop Loss of a Farmers should be from any of the following calamities :-
  • Drought.
  • Heavy Rainfall.
  • Unseasonal Rainfall.

Document Required

• Residence Proof of Gujarat.
• Aadhar Card.
• Caste Certificate.
• Income Certificate.
• Copy of Land Records.
• Bank Account Details.

How to Apply

• Farmer have to visit his nearest E Gram Centre to apply for financial assistance under Mukhyamantri Kisan Sahay Yojana in case of crop loss due to natural calamity.
• Assistant present at centre will fill the application form of farmer free of cost.
• Aadhar Card, Proof of Land Records is mandatorily needed to fill the application form.
• Once the Application Form finally submitted, assistant will provide a print out of the application form to the farmer.
• Application Form along with all the documents will be forwarded to District Agriculture Officer for verification.
• District Agriculture Officer will do physical verification of agricultural field and access the crop loss of farmer.
• Then DAO submit its report to Department of Agriculture for final approval.
• After final approval from department, the amount of financial assistance will be transferred in the given bank account of farmer.
