Introduction
- The government of west Bengal Launched Matsyajeebi Credit Card Scheme in 2022.
- Under this scheme the government has providing credit card facility for fishermen
- Under The Matsyajeebi credit card scheme loans are provided to fishermen on easy terms.
- All fish farmers including small and marginal farmers are eligible for this scheme.
- The Objective of the scheme is to provide institutional short term credit support to fish farmers for their working capital requirement.
- Credit Card facility will be given to both fishermen and fish farmers.
- The Fish Farmers who will be given credit card facilities are as follows:-
- All Small /Marginal Fish Farmer.
- Self help Group.
- Joint Liability Group.
- Fish Producer Group.
- Fish Farmer Producer Organization.
- The Nodal Department of this Scheme is Department of Fisheries , Aquaculture,Aquatic Resources and
Fishing Harbours, Government of West Bengal . - Under The scheme reduce dependence of farmer in their informal banking sector for credit.

Eligibility
- Applicant should be have residence of west Bengal.
- The Following are eligible for Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture :-
- Fishers
- Fish farmers
- Self help groups
- Individual and groups/partners/lease holder farmers
- Share croppers
- joint liability Group and Women group
- Applicant who are Marine Fisheries should be registered owner of the following
- Fishing Vessels
- Boats.

- Voter Card
- Passport size Photo
- Fisherman Identity card
- Ownership Related Documents.
- The following Written documents or oral documents in relation to the lease of the water body or public representative are as follows:-
- Panchayati Raj Institution.
- Municipality.
- Municipal Corporation.
Online Apply
- Beneficiary can apply the west Bengal Matsyajeebi Credit card Scheme through Online Application Form
- Online Application form is available on the west Bengal Matsyajeebi Credit card portal.
- Go to Fisherman Login.
- Enter the fisherman Registration number and OTP received through the message in given phone number of applicant .
- After this the application form was open .
- Now fill the west Bengal Matsyajibi Credit card Scheme Online Application .
- Fill the application form with the correct information .
- Upload all the essential documents on the portal .
- Preview the application form thoroughly and click on submit button to submit it.
- Received application Form will be Verified by the Department of Fisheries.
- After some time your credit card will we provided you .
Offline Apply
- The applicant can apply the Matsyajeebi Credit card Scheme by filling Offline application Form .
- Offline application form of west Bengal Matsyajeebi Credit card is available from the Duare Sarkar Initiative camp at the respective door.
- Take the Application form , fill it correctly.
- Attach all the required documents with it.
- The application has to submit the required documents along with the application form.
- Officials present at the camp will verify and accept .
- After this you can visit the department of fisheries office and collect your card.
Features Of the Scheme
- All Marginal and small fish farmers are eligible for the matsyajeebi card.
- Fishermen can take a loan up to Rs. 2,00,000/ .
- The Interest rate on credit card is 7%.
- No guarantee is required for loans up to Rs 1.6 lakh.
- Repayment of loan only after harvesting and marketing.
- Through this , farmers are allowed cash loans at concessional intrest rates.
- Any number of withdrawals can be made , within the credit limit.
- If someone repays the loan on time, then he will be given subsidy interest.
