• The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a scheme called the "Buddhist (Bauddha) Tirth Darshan Yojana".

Scheme Benefits

• Under the Uttar Pradesh Buddhist Tirth Darshan Yojana, eligible beneficiaries will receive the following benefits: -
  • Pilgrimage to the Hindu/Buddhist residents of Uttar Pradesh.
  • A pilgrimage will be taken to a Buddhist pilgrimage across India.
  • A minimum financial assistance of Rs 10,000/- will be provided.

Eligibility Requirement

• The benefits of the Bauddha Teertha Darshan Yojana will be provided to eligible beneficiaries who meet the eligibility criteria. However, the department has not shared any details related to it so far. Therefore, the criteria mentioned below are tentative and subject to change.
  • The applicants must be domiciled residents of Uttar Pradesh.
  • The applicants must belong to the Buddhist Community.
