Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• After forming a government in Telangana, the Congress party starts fulfilling its election promises.
• Among the Six Guarantees announced in the election manifesto, one is the "Yuva Vikasam Scheme".
• The Telangana Yuva Vikasam Scheme promises financial assistance by issuing Vidya Bharosa Card to eligible students, worth Rs 5 Lakh.
• With the help of these Vidya Bharosa Cards, students can pay their college fees, coaching fees, tuition fees, to purchase study material, books, and others.
• Telangana Yuva Vikasam Scheme is basically for the students and its main objective is to encourage students to pursue higher education without worrying about the expenses.
• Apart from the Vidya Bharosa Card, the government is looking to strengthen the state education system, by establishing 'Telangana International School' in every mandal.
• The scheme is also known by other names such as "Yuva Vikasam Yojana" or "Yuva Vikasam Pathakam" or "Yuva Vikasam Telangana".
• However, unlike other schemes like Mahalakshmi Scheme, Rythu Bharosa, Indiramma Indlu, and Cheyutha Pension, the implementation of Yuva Vikasam Scheme is still pending.

Scheme Benefits

Eligibility Requirements

• Those Students who fulfilled the following eligibility conditions are eligible to receive the benefits of Yuva Vikasam Scheme :-
  • The students must be a Permanent Resident of Telangana.
  • Both male and female students are eligible.
  • Students must pursue their higher education within Telangana.
  • The other conditions will be stated in the scheme guidelines.
