Telangana Aarogyasri Scheme

Introduction

• People who belong to economically weak background are not able to afford the expensive medical treatment.
• In serious medical condition due to not getting treatment they might die.
• Patient and his/her family has to suffer a lot due this condition.
• For solving these problem Telangana government has launched Telangana Aarogyasri Scheme for BPL families.
• Department of Health, Medical and Family Welfare of Telangana is a nodal department of Telangana Aarogyasri Scheme.
• Main objective of the scheme is to provide quality health care to the people who not able to afford treatment expenses.
• Telangana Aarogyasri Scheme is a community health insurance scheme.
• Under the scheme treatment upto Rs 5,00,000/- per year will be covered by the government.
• High end procedure treatment upto Rs 10,00,000 will be covered.
• Upto Rs 6,50,000/- will be paid by the Aarogyasri Health Care Trust for the treatment of cochlear Implant Surgery with Auditory Verbal Therapy .
• Insurance premium will be paid by the state government for BPL families under the scheme.
• Under Telangana Aarogyasri Scheme 1672 treatment facilities will be provided.
• Only BPL families are covered under Telangana Aarogyasri Scheme.
• Beneficiary no need to pay to the hospital for the treatment.
• Beneficiary simply need to visit their nearby hospital or health care centre for avail the benefit under the scheme.

Benefits

• Following benefit will be given by government under Telangana Aarogyasri Scheme:-
  • Government provide health insurance for health treatment upto Rs 5,00,000/-per year to per family.
  • Rs 10,00,000/- will be covered under high end procedure.

Diseases

• Following Diseases are covered under Telangana Aarogyasri Scheme:-

  Below mentioned surgery and Therapy are covered under the scheme:- Heart surgery. Lungs surgery. Liver surgery. Pancreas surgery. Kidney surgery. Neuro Surgery. Pediatric Congenital Malformations, Burns. Post -Burn Contracture Surgeries. Cancer Surgery. Chemo Therapy. Radio Therapy. For children following health treatment will be provided :- Polytrauma and Cochlear Implant Surgery with Auditory Verbal Therapy will be provided to the children whose age is less than 3 year. Cochlear implantation surgery under different condition will be provided to children whose age is between 3year to 5 year.

Eligibility Conditions

• Applicant should be a Permanent Resident of Telangana.
• Applicant should belong to Below Poverty Line category.
• Applicant who are the holder of any of the following card are eligible for the scheme:-
  • White Card.
  • Health Card.

Document Required

• Following document are required for availing the benefit under Telangana Aarogyasri Scheme:-
  • Ration Card.
  • BPL Card.
  • White Card.
  • Applicant Photography.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Email ID.

How to Apply

• For availing the benefit of Telangana Aarogyasri Scheme beneficiary no need to fill any application form.
• Applicant can visit the following centers/ hospitals to avail benefit under the scheme:-
  • Primary Health Centre(PHC).
  • Community Health Centre(CHC).
  • Nearby Hospital or any Government Hospital.
  • Health Camp.
• For treatment and surgery applicant has to go hospital/center with their white card/health card/Ration card/BPL card.
• Beneficiary can Contact to Aarogymithra at hospital of the facility/treatment.
• At the time of treatment registration or application form will be filled by the hospital.
• Health treatment upto Rs 5,00,000/-per year will be given to the beneficiary family under the scheme.
