Introduction

  • Nai Udaan Scheme is the the major financial assistance scheme of Ministry of Minority Affairs.
  • It specially focuses on the candidates from the six notified minority communities in India :-
    • Muslims.
    • Christians.
    • Sikh.
    • Buddhist.
    • Jain.
    • Parsis (Zoroastrians).
  • Candidates cleared Preliminary Examination of UPSC, State PSC and SSC are eligible to avail the benefit.
  • The main objective of Nai Udaan Scheme is to provide necessary financial assistance so that the candidate can prepare well for mains examination.
  • Benefit will be given to the candidates in the form of Direct Benefit Transfer.
  • Each year 5,100 candiates will selected under Nai Udaan Scheme.
  • The following financial assistance will be provided to eligible students under Nai Udaan Scheme :-
    • Rs. 1,00,000/- will be given to those candidate who cleared Prelims of UPSC Examination.
    • Rs. 50,000/- will be given to those candidates who cleared State PCS (Gazetted) Examination.
    • Rs. 25,000/- will be given to those candidates who cleared SSC CGL & CAPF Group-B Examination.
    • Rs. 25,000/- will be given to those candidates who cleared State PCS (Non-Gazetted) Examination.
  • This financial assistance will used by candidates to let themselves prepare better for the mains examination.
  • But the news is that Ministry of Minority Affairs temporarily suspended Nai Udaan Scheme.

Amount of Financial Assistance

  • The following financial assistance will be provided to eligible students under Nai Udaan Scheme :-

Eligibility Conditions

  • Candidate should belong to any one of the Minority Community :-
    • Muslims.
    • Christians.
    • Sikh.
    • Buddhist.
    • Jain.
    • Parsis (Zoroastrians).
  • Candidate must have passed any of the Preliminary Examination conducted by :-
    • Union Public Service Commission (Civil Services, Indian Engineering Services & Indian Forest Services).
    • State Public Service Commission (Group A and B (Gazetted and Non-Gazetted posts).
    • Staff Selection Commission (Combined Graduate Level/ CAPF for Group B (Non-Gazetted Post).
  • The Annual Family Income of the candidate should not be more than Rs. 8,00,000/-lakh per year.
  • The benefit under Nai Udaan scheme should not be availed by the candidate in the past.

Document required

  • Mandatory Documents required to apply for Nai Udaan Scheme :-
  • Nai Udaan Scheme Self declaration should states that candidate belongs to the one of the notified minority community.
  • Minority Certificate (if available).
  • Any One of the Identity Card of the candidate will be uploaded in a scanned format :-
    • Aadhar Card.
    • PAN Card.
    • Driving License.
    • Voter Identity Card.
    • Passport.
    • Ration Card.
    • BPL Card.
  • Nai Udaan Scheme Affidavit on Non Judicial Stamp Paper of Rs. 10/20/- duly notarized contains that candidate is not availing/has not availed any financial support from any other similar scheme.
  • Nai Udaan Scheme Affidavit is compulsorily required to get financial aid.

How to Apply

  • To get financial assistance under the Nai Udaan Scheme, the candidate has to first go to Service Plus Platform.
  • Only online applications will be accepted. No offline application should be considered.
  • Candidate must have a valid Email ID. All communication related to aid from the Ministry of Minority Affairs to the candidate will be sent on the registered email address.
  • Candidate must have a valid personal mobile number for SMS communication.
  • Candidate has to register himself/herself on the Service Plus Platform by filling following details :-
    • Full Name.
    • Valid Email Id.
    • Mobile Number.
    • Any password of candidates choice.
    • State of resident.
    • Filled the Captcha.
  • Click on submit button.
  • Fill the OTPs sent to the candidate's Email and Mobile Number.
  • It is mandatory to fill both the OTPs for verification.
  • Once the OTPs got verified, candidate can Login by their Email ID and Password.
  • After Log in, Fill all the personal, contact details and upload the scanned copied of all the required original documents.
  • Notification of various stages of processing of Application in the Ministry of Minority Affairs will be sent to the candidates on their Email Addresses or Mobile Numbers.
  • The Application received from the applicants will be scrutinized in the Ministry and placed before the committee for selection of eligible candidates.
  • Candidate are also advises to keep track the application status.
  • Candidate must ensure to complete the application process by the stipulated Date and Time as per the provisions of the Nai Udaan Scheme.

Features of the Scheme

  • Candidate can avail the benefit of Nai Udaan Scheme only once.
  • Candidate can avail the benefit only for one preliminary examination.
  • There is a limited seats for each of the minority community under this scheme.
  • All the application received will be scrutinized by the committee of the ministry.
  • The decision of the committee for selecting the students shall be final.
  • Payment to candidates will be made through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.
  • Payment will be done in a single installment.
  • Proof of passing the exam is mandatorily needed to avail the benefit.
  • If candidate avail benefit twice under this scheme then he/she will have to refund the amount with 10% interest.

I cleared jkpsc pre-exam 2021 and applied for scholarship bit late, and didn't received the scholarship. Now again in 2022 I cleared jkpsc pre-exam and it doestn't allow me to submit application as it shows data with one adhaar number will be submitted only once. What can I do ? Can anybody help me, I need the scholarship to prepare for mains exams.
