PM Vishwakarma Yojana

Introduction

• PM Vishwakarma Yojana was announced by Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitaraman during her 2023-2024 budget speech.
• The full name of PM Vishwakarma Yojana is PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana.
• It is also known by other name i.e. "PM VIKAS Yojana" or "PM Vishwakarma Scheme" or "Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana".
• On 16th of August 2023, Union Cabinet gave its nod to implement PM Vishwakarma Yojana in whole of India.
• Date fixed by Union Cabinet to launch it is on 17th of September 2023.
• PM Vishwakarma Yojana is going to launch on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti on 17-08-2023.
• The main objective behind launching PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana is to support artist, craftsman and small business owner financially and help them to grew their business by providing them capital support.
• Government of India reserves the budget of Rs. 13,000/- Crore for the smooth implementation of PM Vishwakarma Yojana.
• Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise is the nodal ministry of PM Vishwakarma Yojana.
• Loan up to Rs. 1,00,000/- on a Interest of only 5% will be provided to all eligible Artists and Craftsmen for their business.
• And if they successfully pay back the loan amount then they again take a loan up to Rs. 2,00,000/- on a Interest Rate of 5%.
• Apart from Capital Loan, Skill Training will also provided to Artists and Craftsmen under PM Vishwakarma Yojana.
• Stipend of Rs. 500/- per Day will be provided to trainee selected for training under Pradhanmantri Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana.
• A Financial Assistance of Rs. 15,000/- will also provided to all Craftspeople and Artisan to purchase advance tools for their business.
• Government of India will also provide PM Vishwakarma Certificate and Identity Card to beneficiaries for their easy identification.
• 18 Traditional Trades is included by Government of India under PM Vishwakarma Yojana.
• 30 Lac Families belonging to more than 164 Backward Classes is expected to be covered and is going to take benefits of PM Vishwakarma Yojana.
• Eligible Artisans and Craftsman will have to wait little more in order to avail the benefit of PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana.
• PM Vishwakarma Yojana will officially launched by Government of India on 17th of September 2023.
• Now Government of India Launched the Guidelines and Application Procedure of PM Vishwakarma Yojana.
• Painters are not eligible to avail the benefit of PM Vishwakarma Yojana.
• Eligible Craftsmen and Artisans can now apply to avail the benefit of PM Vishwakarma Yojana through 2 ways :-
  • Through PM Vishwakarma Online Application Form.
  • Through CSC Center.

Benefits of Scheme

• The following benefits will be provided to all Artisans and Crafts people under PM Vishwakarma Yojana :-

  Loan up to Rs. 1,00,000/- will be provided at 5% Interest Rate in 1st Phase. Loan up to Rs. 2,00,000/- will be provided at 5% Interest Rate in 2nd Phase. Skill Training will also Provided. Stipend of Rs. 500/- per Day will be provided during Training Period. Rs. 15,000/- will be provided to Purchase Advance Tool Kit. PM Vishwakarma Certificate and Identity Card will also provided. The tenure of 1st phase loan is 18 months. The tenure of 2nd phase loan is 30 months. Incentive of Rs. 1/- per Digital Transaction.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicant should be a Indian Resident.
• Applicant should be a Artisan or Craftspeople/ Craftsmen.
• Age of Applicant should be 18 Years or Above.
• Applicant should not availed the benefits of PMEGP, PM SVANidhi or Mudra Loan.

• Artisan or Craftspeople engaged in any of the below mentioned trades are eligible to get benefit under PM Vishwakarma Yojana (PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana) :-

  Fishing Net Maker. Tailor. (Darzi) Washerman. (Dhobi) Garland Maker. (Malakaar) Barber. (Nai) Doll and Toy Maker. (Traditional) Basket/ Mat/ Broom Maker/ Coir Weaver. Mason. (Rajmistri) Cobbler (Charmkar)/ Shoesmith/ Footwear Artisan. Sculptor (Moortikar, Stone Carver), Stone Breaker. Potter. (Kumhaar) Goldsmith. (Sonar) Locksmith. Hammer and Tool Kit Maker. Blacksmith. (Lohar) Armourer. Boat Maker. Carpenter. (Suthar)

  • Voter Identity Card.
  • Proof of Occupation.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Income Certificate.

Scheme Progress

How to Apply

• Eligible Artists and Craftsman can apply for Pradhanmantri Vishwakarma Yojana through Online Application Form.
• Online Application Form of Pm Vishwakarma Yojana is available on PM Vishwakarma Yojana Official Portal from 17th of September 2023.
• Beneficiary has to Register themselves first with the help of their mobile number and Aadhar Card.
• PM Vishwakarma Yojana Website will verify the Mobile Number and Aadhar Card of Beneficiary through OTP Authentication.
• After Verification, A Registration Form of PM Vishwakarma Yojana will appear on the screen.
• Fill the basic details like, Artist or Craftsman Name, Address, Trade Related Details in the Pm Vishwakarma Yojana Registration Form.
• Now Click on Submit Button to Submit It.
• Download the PM Vishwakarma Digital ID and Certificate for future reference.
• Now Login on the same PM Vishwakarma Yojana Portal and Apply for different components of scheme.
• Upload all the required documents.
• Submit the Application Form of PM Vishwakarma Yojana for consideration.
• Concerned Officials then verify the received application.
• And with the help of Commercial Banks, Regional Rural Banks and Other Financial Institutions, the Collateral Free Loan under PM Vishwakarma Yojana will be disbursed among beneficiaries.
• Artist and Craftsman can also register and apply for PM Vishwakarma Yojana by visiting their nearest CSC Center.
• Government of India will also planning to develop a PM Vishwakarma Yojana Mobile App for registration under PM Vishwakarma Yojana.
