Rajasthan Lado Protsahan Yojana

Introduction

• Bhartiye Janta Party announced lots of welfare scheme for the people of Rajasthan at the time of assembly elections.
• Lado Protsahan Yojana is also one of the pre poll promise of BJP.
• As BJP successfully wins the election of Rajasthan and forms a new government.
• The main objective behind starting Lado Protsahan Yojana in Rajasthan is to improve the literacy rate among girls belongs to backward classes which do not complete their education due to poor financial condition.
• Also through Lado Protsahan Yojana, Rajasthan Government will also targets to decrease the infant mortality rate and to encourage girl childs to complete their education.
• Lado Protsahan Yojana is going to be known by some other major names in Rajasthan such as :- "Rajasthan Lado Protsahan Scheme" or "Rajasthan Girl Child Incentive Scheme" or "Rajasthan Lado Incentive Scheme".
• At the time of announcement BJP Party promised to provide a saving bond of Rs. 2,00,000/- at the time of birth of a girl child under its Lado Protsahan Yojana.
• But when Lado Protsahan Yojana is launched on 01-08-2024 and the official guidelines of this scheme released, we found that BJP led Rajasthan Government went back on its promise.
• Now a Saving bond of Rs. 1,00,000/- will be provided to girl child under Lado Protsahan Yojana.
• The amount of saving bond will be distributed in the form of DBT among girl beneficiaries in 7 different phases of her life.
• The Saving Bond Amount of Rs. 1,00,000/- as provided under Rajasthan Lado Protsahan Yojana will be given to girl beneficiaries through the below mentioned stages :-
  • Rs. 2,500/- at the time of birth. (To Mother)
  • Rs. 2,500/- at the time of completed the age of 1 year.
  • Rs. 4,000/- in Class 1st.
  • Rs. 5,000/- in Class 6th.
  • Rs. 11,000/- in Class 10th.
  • Rs. 25,000/- in Class 12th.
  • Rs. 50,000/- at the time of Passing Graduation and Completing the Age of 21 Years.
• This amount will help the Girl Child to manage her educational expenses.
• Financial Assistance under Lado Protsahan Yojana from Class 1st to Class 12th will only provided to those girl beneficiary who studies in Government of Rajasthan School or affilliated to Government Schools.
• Benefits of Lado Protsahan Yojana will not be payable to all Girls of Rajasthan.
• Rajasthan Government launched Lado Protsahan Yojana on 1st of August 2024.
• Beneficiary Women can now register themselves and avail the benefit of Lado Protsahan Yojana.

Benefits of Scheme

• Government of Rajasthan will provide the following benefits to all eligible girl child beneficiaries under its Lado Protsahan Yojana :-
  • Saving Bond of Rs. 1,00,000/- will be provided at the time birth of Girl Child.
  • Amount of Saving Bond will be provided to Girl Child in below mentioned phase :-

    Phase	Amount
    At the Time of Birth	Rs. 2,500/-
    When Girl Child Completed 1 Year of Age	Rs. 2,500/-
    When Girl Child take Admission in Class 1st	Rs. 4,000/-
    When Girl Child take Admission in Class 6th	Rs. 5,000/-
    When Girl Child take Admission in Class 10th	Rs. 11,000/-
    When Girl Child take Admission in Class 12th	Rs. 25,000/-
    When Completed Graduation and Attained the Age of 21 Years.	Rs. 50,000/-
    Total	Rs. 1,00,000/-

Eligibility Criteria

• Benefits of Rajasthan Lado Protsahan Yojana will be provided to only those beneficiaries women and girl child who fulfil the below mentioned eligibility conditions :-

  Beneficiary Women should be a Permanent Resident of Rajasthan. Birth of a Girl Child should be in Government Hospital or in Private Hospital appoved for Janani Suraksha Yojana.

Documents Required

• Documents that are essentially required at the time of applying for Lado Protsahan Yojana of Rajasthan Government are as follows :-
  • Residence Proof of Rajasthan.
  • Jan Aadhar Card.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Caste Certificate.
  • Girl Child Birth Certificate.
  • Passport Size Photo.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Email ID.

How to Apply

• Pregnant women beneficiay can register themselves under Lado Protsahan Yojana at the time of her ANC Check Up.
• She has to fill the Registration Form of Lado Protsahan Yojana.
• Application cum Registration Form of Lado Protsahan Yojana is available in the Government Hospital or can be obtain from the District Office of Department of Medical Health and Family Welfare.
• Fill the Application Form correctly and attach Residence proof of Rajasthan, Marriage Certificate, and Copy of Bank Passbook with it.
• Officials from Medical Health and Family Welfare Department will enter the details of beneficiary in Government of Rajasthan's PCTS Portal.
• It is mandatory for a beneficiary women to deliver her child in Government Hospital or in a private hospital which is approved under Janani Suraksha Yojana in order to avail the benefit of Lado Protsahan Yojana.
• First Instalment of Lado Protsahan Yojana will be provided in the bank account of mother after the birth of a girl child.
• Unique ID/ PCTS ID Number will be provided to every girl child for future tracking of payments.
• Second Instalment of Lado Protsahan Yojana will be provided only after girl child completed 1 year of age and be fully immunized.
• Women Beneficiary has to submit Health Card or Mamta Card to claim Lado Protsahan Yojana second instalment.
• For 3rd to 6th Instalment payment, women beneficiary doesn't have any need to apply separately under Lado Protsahan Yojana.
• With the help of concerned schools of girl child beneficiary, the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Instalment of Lado Protsahan Yojana of Rajasthan Government will be paid in the bank account.
• Unique ID or PCTS ID is required for payment.
• For the last instalment of Lado Protsahan Yojana, Department of Higher Education will upload the required documents related to the admission of girl child in graduation course.
• Once girl child passed graduation and completed 21 years of age, the last instalment of lado protsahan yojana will be released in her bank account.
