Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• Ex- CM Shri Champai Soren announced to start "Mukhyamantri Behan-Beti Swavalamban Protsahan Yojana" in state to support women financiallly.
• But Jharkhand Government amended the name of this scheme.
• Now Mukhyamantri Behan Beti Swavalamban Protsahan Yojana is going to be known as "Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana".
• Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana is launched by Jharkhand Government and Registration under this scheme is start from 03-08-2024.
• Women and Child Development Department of Jharkhand Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• The main objective of this scheme is to support women of Jharkhand financially so that they can increase their purchasing power.
• This scheme has some other major names also which are "Jharkhand Chief Minister Maiyya Samman Yojana" or "Jharkhand Chief Minister Maiyya Samman Scheme" or "Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Scheme".
• Monthly Financial Assistance will be provided to all eligible women of Jharkhand under this scheme.
• Women Beneficiary will get Rs. 1,000/- per month under Jharkhand Government's Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana.
• This means a total of Rs. 12,000/- per will received by beneficiary women under Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana.
• But on 14th of October 2024, Chief Minister of Jharkhand Sh. Hemant Soren while taking cabinet meeting took major decision to increase the amount of Maiyya Samman Scheme.
• Now, All Women Beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana will get Rs. 30,000/- in a year.
• Rs. 2,500/- per month will be provided to all beneficiaries of this scheme.
• Increased amount of Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana will be transferred in the bank account of beneficiary from the month of December means after election.
• 4th Installment of Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana will released by Jharkhand Government on the occassion of Chatt Pooja.
• 5th Installment of Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana will be released in the month of December if JMM led Jharkhand Government retain their power after winning election.
• Bharatiye Janta Party also announced similar financial assistance scheme for women named "Gogo Didi Yojana" in which Rs. 2,100/- per month will promised by the party.
• Beneficiary Women whose age is above 21 years and below 50 years are eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme.
• Having Voter ID Card and Aadhar Card is mandatory to apply.
• Government of Jharkhand will credit the per month assistance on 15th of every month in the bank account of women beneficiary.
• Start Date to apply for monthly assistance under Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana is 03-08-2024 and the last to apply for this scheme is 10-08-2024.
• Beneficiary Women can also apply after 10-08-2024.
• More than 46 Lakh Women applied for financial assistance out of which 43 lakh application form accepted by the Government.
• First Instalment of Maiyya Samman Yojana will be transferred in the bank account of Women Beneficiary before 31st of August 2024.
• Thereafter from September, Women Beneficiary will recieve Rs. 1,000/- per month on 15th of every month.
• On 24th of August 2024, Chief Minister of Jharkhand Sh. Hemant Soren will transfer the Samman Amount in the bank account of benefeciary at Sindur Maidan in Hazaribaag.
• Women can apply for Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana through Application Form which can be Downloaded from Here.
• Jharkhand Government also launched the Official Website of Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana.
• Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana Status Check can be done through Official Website.

Scheme Benefits

• Government of Jharkhand will provide the following benefits to all eligible women under Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana :-
  • Per Month Financial Assistance will be Provided.
  • Rs. 1,000/- per Month will be provided to Women Beneficiary.
  • Rs. 2,500/- per Month from December Onwards.

Eligibility Requirements

• Financial Assistance of Rs. 1,000/- per month (2,500/- from December) will only provided to those women beneficiary who fulfil the following eligibility criteria of Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana of Government of Jharkhand :-

  Beneficiary Women should be the Permanent Resident of Jharkhand. Age of Beneficiary Women should be between 21 years to 50 years. Beneficiary should have Voter ID Card and Aadhar Card. Beneficiary should have any of the below mentioned cards :- Yellow Ration Card. Pink Ration Card. White Ration Card. Green Ration Card. Bank Account of Beneficiary Women should be linked with Aadhar.

Ineligibility Criteria

• If any women falls under any below mentioned category then she is not eligible to avail the benefit of per month financial assistance under Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana :-

  Income Tax Payee Family. EPF Registered Women. If Women or her Husband is a :- Central/ State/ PSU Employee. Pensioners. Receiver of any Social Security Pension Scheme. If Family has Current or Retired MP/MLA.

Required Documents

• Documents that are required to be attached with the Application Form of Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana of Jharkhand Government is mentioned below :-
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Bank Passbook.
  • Ration Card.
  • Voter ID.
  • PAN Card.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Self Declaration.

Steps to Apply

• Registration of Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana of Jharkhand Government is going to start from 3rd of August 2024.
• Special Camps for Registration will be organised by Government in every Gram Panchayat/ Anganwadi Centre from 3rd of August to 10th of August 2024.
• Anganwadi Worker/ Assistant will distribute the Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana Application Form by visiting door to door of women beneficiaries house.
• Beneficiary Women can also collect the Application Form of Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana from special camps which is going to organised in every Gram Panchayat from 03-08-2024 to 10-08-2024.
• Beneficiary Women will have to fill the Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana Application Form carefully.
• Attach all the required documents with the Application Form.
• Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana Application Form will only submit in the Special Camps from 3rd of August to 10th of August.
• It is mandatory for Women Beneficiary to physically present at camp to submit the Application Form.
• Officers present at the camp will verify the Aadhar Card and Photo Women Beneficiary.
• Submitted Application Form and Documents will be verified by the concerned officers of the Women and Child Development Department.
• List of Women Beneficiary selected for financial assistance under Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana will be made then.
• Women selected in Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana for per month financial assistance will be notified through SMS on her mobile number about selection or rejection.
• Selected Women Beneficiary will get financial assistance of Rs. 1,000/- per month in their bank account.
• From December, Women Beneficiary will receive Rs. 2,500/- under Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana.
• It is to be estimated that around 48 lakh women will get the benefit of this scheme.
• Registration for Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana will start from 03-10-2024.
• And the last date to apply for Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana is 10-08-2024.
• Whereas, Women Beneficiary can also apply for Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana after 10-08-2024 by visiting their nearest Pragya Centre.
