Annai Therasa Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme for Orphan Girls

Introduction

• The Government of Tamil Nadu has introduced the "Annai Therasa Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme for Orphan Girls" to provide financial assistance to the orphan girls at the time of their marraige.
• It is a sub-part of Tamil Nadu Marriage Assistance Scheme.
• Through this scheme government aim to provide financial assistance to the orphan girls for their marriage.
• Department of Social Welfare and Women Empowerment, Tamil Nadu is the nodal department of this scheme.
• Under the scheme financial help of Rs. 25,000/- and Rs. 50,000/- will be provided to the orphan girls.
• This scheme is divided into two following categories:-
  • Graduates
  • Non-Graduates
• Graduates are eligible to apply for the assistance of Rs. 25,000/-.
• Where as, Non- Graduates are eligible to apply for the assistance of Rs. 50,000/-.
• Apart from this both Graduate and Non-Graduate will receive a 22-carat gold coin weighing 8 grams for Thirumangalyam.
• Applicants have to visit the nearest Common Service Center (CSC) to apply for the Annai Therasa Ninaivu Assistance Scheme for Orphan Girls.

Benefits of the Scheme

• Under Annai Therasa Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme for Orphan Girls following benefits will be provided to the eligible beneficary:-

  Beneficary	Benefits
  For Non Graduate	Financial Assistance of Rs. 25,000/- Rs. 15,000/- through Electronic Clearing Service. Rs. 10,000/- as National Savings Certificate. 8 Grams 22 Carat Gold Coin.
  For Graduate and Diploma Holder	Financial Assistance of Rs. 50,000/- Rs. 30,000/- through Electronic Clearing Service. Rs. 20,000/- as National Savings Certificate. 8 Grams 22 Carat Gold Coin.

Eligibility Criteria

• Those who fulfill all the conditions listed below are eligible to apply for the 'Annai Therasa Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme for Orphan Girls':-
  • Should be a Resident of Tamil Nadu.
  • Age of Bride should be above 18 Years.
  • Age of Bride Groom should be above 21 years.
  • No Income Limit.
  • No Minimum Educational Qualification Required.

• At the time of apply for "Annai Therasa Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme for Orphan Girls" following documnets will be required:-
  • Age Proof of Bride and Bride Groom.
  • Community Certificate.
  • Destitute Girl Certificate.
  • Marriage Invitation.
  • Bride Educational Certificate.
  • Residence proof.
  • Marriage Photo.
  • Family Card.
  • Aadhar Card.

How to Apply

• To avail the benefit of Tamil Nadu Annai Therasa Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme for Orphan Girls, beneficiary can apply through nearest Common Service Center.
• The agent fill the form and upload the required document on behalf of the beneficiary.
• After that the Application Form and Documents of the beneficiary will be scrutinized by the District Social Welfare Officer.
• Beneficiary will be informed through SMS or Email in case of accept and reject of the application.
• Once accepted, the amount of financial assistance will be transferred into the bank account of beneficiary.

Features of the Scheme

• For availing the benefits under the Annai Therasa Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme for Orphan Girls, the application has to be submitted within 40 days before the marriage date.
• In some exceptional cases, the application can be submitted one day prior to the marriage date.
• Age of the bride and bridegroom should be 18 and 20 years old respectively.
• There are two categories for beneficiary to avail benefits under this scheme:-
  • Non-graduates orphan are eligible for assistance of Rs. 25,000/-
  • Graduates and diploma holders orphan are eligible for assistance of Rs. 50,000/-
• There are following categories of education qualification:-
  • For cash assistance of Rs. 25,000/-, there is no educational qualification required.
  • For cash assistance of Rs. 50,000/-, applicant should be a graduation degree holder or diploma holder.
