Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• The newly formed Delhi BJP Government is keen to fulfill the promises made during the assembly elections.
• The party has announced various schemes in its election manifesto, including the "Delhi Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Scheme".
• The scheme aims to provide monthly financial assistance to students pursuing their technical and vocational courses from recognised institutions.
• The scheme is likely to be known by other names such as "Delhi Mukhyamantri Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Yojana" or "Mukhyamantri Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Yojana".
• Under the Delhi Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Scheme, applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste Category will receive a monthly stipend.
• Each student will receive a stipend of Rs 1,000/- per month under the Delhi Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Scheme.

• The government has yet to implement the Mukhyamantri Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Scheme officially.
• After its launch, the authority will share the requisite details like eligibility, application process and others.
• The implementation of the scheme is likely to be overseen by the NCT Welfare Department of SC/ST.
• To receive the monthly stipend of Rs 1,000 under the Mukhyamantri Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Scheme, beneficiaries must apply for it.

Scheme Benefits

• The Delhi government has introduced the Delhi Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Scheme, offering the following benefits to its beneficiaries : -
  • A monthly stipend Scheduled Caste students.
  • Each student will receive a stipend of Rs 1,000/- per month.
  • Stipend amount will be credited directly to the beneficiary bank account.

Eligibility Requirements

• The monthly stipend of Rs 1,000 under Delhi Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Scheme will be provided to beneficiaries who meet the criteria outlined in the scheme guidelines. However, since the detailed criteria are yet to be released, the pointers shared below are tentative and likely to be changed : -
  • The beneficiary must belong to the Scheduled Caste category.
  • Must be a permanent resident of Delhi.
  • Must be Pursuing Technical and Vocational courses in ITIs, Skill Centers, Polytechnic is mandatory.
  • The Annual Family income from all sources should be within the prescribed limit.
  • Should not be availing similar benefits from other schemes.

  • Address Proof.

  • Income Certificate.

Steps to Apply

• Eligible beneficiaries must apply for the Delhi Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Scheme to receive a monthly stipend of Rs 1,000/-.
