Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• To support meritorious students of class 10^th, the Delhi Government has announced a scheme named "Mukhyamantri Digital Education Scheme".
• The primary objective of the scheme is to support meritorious students and encourage them to continue their higher studies.
• Additionally, it will also motivate other students to perform well in their high school board examinations.
• Free-of-cost laptops will be provided to class 10^th board exam topper students under the Mukhyamantri Digital Education Scheme of the Delhi Government.
• Cabinet of the Delhi Government has already given its approval to launch this Free Laptop Scheme in Delhi on July 22nd, 2025.
• The government further announced that Rs. 7.5 Crore is also sanctioned for the Mukhyamantri Digital Education Scheme its smooth implementation.
• An advanced i7 laptop will be provided free of cost to all eligible class 10^th toppers under this scheme.
• For the year 2025-2026, 1,200 eligible students of class 10^th have been selected to receive free laptops under the Mukhyamantri Digital Education Yojana of the Government of Delhi.
• In recent times, the Delhi Government is continuously making efforts to support school students by providing scholarships and free coaching to make their future better.
• For this, the government has launched several educational welfare schemes like : -
  • Mukhyamantri Vidyarthi Pratibha Yojana.
  • Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana.
  • Jai Bhim Mukhyamantri Pratibha Vikas Yojana.
  • Chief Minister Super Talented Children Coaching Scheme.
• Topper Students of Class 10^th will have to wait a little bit more to receive a free laptop under the Mukhyamantri Digital Education Scheme of the Delhi Government.

Scheme Benefits

• The Delhi Government will provide the following benefits to eligible students under its Mukhyamantri Digital Education Scheme : -
  • Free Laptops will be distributed to eligible students..
  • Laptops will be provided to the Class 10^th Board Examination Topper/ Meritorious students.

Eligibility Requirements

• To receive the free laptops under the Mukhyamantri Digital Education Scheme the beneficiaries must meet the criteria mentioned below of the scheme. However, the eligibility criteria we have shared below are tentative and subject to change :-
  • Applicants must be a domiciled residents of Delhi.
  • Benefits are likely to be provided to the Government and the Government-aided school students.
  • Students must have passed their Class 10^th Board Exams.
  • Free Laptops will be provided to the Topper/ Meritorious Students of Class 10^th only.
  • Other criteria will be updated once the scheme is officially launched.

Required Documents

• Applicants must submit the following documents at the time of applying for the Mukhyamantri Digital Education Scheme of the Government of Delhi : -
  • Aadhaar Card.
  • Intermediate Admit Card.
  • Intermediate Scorecard.
  • Passport Size Photograph.
  • Income Certificate (If any).

Steps to Apply

• Delhi Government's Cabinet gave its approval on 22-07-2025 to launch the Mukhyamantri Digital Education Scheme in the state.
• Rs. 7.5 Crore has also been allocated for the procurement of laptops under this scheme.
• Application Process of the Mukhyamantri Digital Education Scheme of the Delhi Government is not clear yet.
• Only this much information is available in the public domain.
• As soon as Mukhyamantri Digitally Education Scheme is get launched in Delhi, we will update it here.
• Till then, beneficiary students of Class 10^th will have to wait a little bit longer.
