Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Behan-Beti Swavalamban Protsahan Yojana

Introduction

• Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand Champai Soren announced a beneficial scheme for the women beneficiaries.
• While chairing the cabinet meeting, CM announced a scheme called 'Mukhyamantri Behan-Beti Swavalamban Protsahan Yojana'.
• Under the scheme, the government aims to provide monthly financial assistance to all women, irrespective of their categories.
• The objective of Mukhyamantri Behan-Beti Swavalamban Protsahan Yojana is to empower poor and needy women of all classes.
• For its successful implementation, the Women, Child Development and Social Security department of Jharkhand was appointed as the nodal department.
• During the announcement the government announced the name of the scheme as Mukhyamantri Behan-Beti Swavalamban Protsahan Yojana.
• Upon its implementation, the government amended the name of the scheme and now it will be known as 'Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana'.
• Moreover, the scheme is also known by other names including, 'Jharkhand Chief Minister Maiyya Samman Yojana', or 'Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Scheme', and 'Jharkhand Mai-Kui Swavalamban Protsahan Yojana'.
• Under the scheme, the eligible beneficiaries will receive a monthly assistance of Rs 1,000/-.
• To receive benefits, applicants must check the eligibility criteria of Mukhyamantri Behan-Beti (Mai-Kui) Swavalamban Protsahan Yojana.
• Women aged between 21 and 50 years are eligible because women above 50 are already receiving Jharkhand Sarvjan Pension Yojana benefits.
• Around 40 lakhs women are going to receive benefits of Mukhyamantri Behan-Beti Swavalamban Protsahan Yojana.
• Application form for Mukhyamantri Behan-Beti Swavalamban Protsahan Yojana will be submitted through its offline application form.
• To raise awareness, the government will also organize various camps across the state.
• In such camps, the eligible beneficiaries can obtain scheme application forms and its useful information.
• Applicants can submit their Mukhyamantri Behan-Beti Swavalamban Protsahan Yojana application from August 3rd to 10th at the nearest camp organized at Panchayat/Ward/and Angangwadi centers.
• Post August 10th, its application form can be submitted at the nearest Pragya Centre.
  
• Assistance will be transferred online to the provided bank accounts through DBT mode on or before 15th of every month.

Benefits of Scheme

• Under the Mukhyamantri Behan-Beti (Mai-Kui) Swavalamban Protsahan Yojana :-
  • The Jharkhand government will provide a monthly assistance of Rs. 1,000/-.
  • This assistance will be provided to each women aged between 21 and 50 years.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants fulfill the following eligibility guidelines are eligible for Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Swavalamban Protsahan Yojana Assistance: -

  Applicants should be a native resident of the state. Only women applicants can apply for the scheme. The age of the applicants should be between 21 and 50 years. Anyone receiving benefits of other schemes similar to this are ineligible. Aadhaar Card and Voter ID card is mandatory for all beneficiaries. Aadhaar linked bank account passbook. Other than the above, beneficiary should have any of the below mentioned ration card : - Yellow Ration Card (AAY) Pink Ration Card. White Ration Card Green Ration Card.

Ineligibility Criteria

• In case, any women possess below mentioned category, then she is not eligible to receive assistance under the Mukhyamantri Swavalamban Protsahan Yojana Assistance : -

  Any of the family members is an income tax payee. Women registered under EPF. beneficiary or her husband is : - Central/State/PSU employee/Legal bodies/Local Bodies/Government aided educational institutions/ Permanent employee/Contractual employee. Receiving pension or family pension after retirement. Beneficiary receiving other pension scheme benefits. If family member is current or former MLA/MP.

Documents Required

• Applicants must keep their following documents ready when applying for the Mukhyamantri Behan-Beti Swavalamban Protsahan Yojana : -
  • Aadhaar Card.
  • Voter ID.
  • Aadhaar linked bank documents.
  • Ration Card.
  • Mobile Number.
  • PAN Card.
  • Self Declaration form.

How to apply

• Beneficiary can apply for the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Behan-Beti Swavalamban Protsahan Yojana offline.
• Mukhyamantri Behan-Beti Swavalamban Protsahan Yojana application form can be submitted from August 3rd 2024.
• Beneficiary can submit this application form at special camp organized by the authority in every Panchayat/Ward/and Angangwadi centers.
• Anganwadi workers will distribute these application forms by providing door to door service to each beneficiary.
• Moreover, applicants can also obtain the application form for the Mukhyamantri Behan-Beti Swavalamban Protsahan Yojana from the camp.
• Beneficiaries must provide the details asked in the application form and affix the required documents.
• They can submit this duly filled in application form at the camp from August 3rd to August 10, 2024.
• After August 10, beneficiaries can submit their application form at the nearest Pragya centers.
• A concerned officer of the Jharkhand Women and Child development will verify the details mentioned in the application and documents affix to it.
• It is mandatory for the applicants to present during their Aadhaar Card and photo verification.
• Once the verification process is completed the authority will prepare a list of beneficiaries.
• Beneficiaries whose names appear on the list will receive the assistance as promised under the scheme.
