Haryana Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme

Introduction

• Haryana Government started Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme in the Year 1980.
• Initially the pension amount under this scheme was Rs. 50 but from the year 2014, the amount is gradually increased by the Haryana Government.
• The main objective of Haryana Government behind starting Haryana Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme is to provide financial security cover to those women who are not able to earn and handle their expenses on their own.
• Social Justice and Empowerment Department of Government of Haryana is the nodal department of this scheme.
• Haryana Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme is popularly known as "Haryana Widow Pension Scheme" in Haryana State.
• But there are two type of beneficiaries under this scheme, one is Widow Women and other one is Destitute Women.
• Financial Assistance as a Monthly Pension under Haryana Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme is same for both the beneficiaries.
• Haryana Government will provide Rs. 2,750/- per Month as a Monthly Pension to Widow and Destitute Women of State under Haryana Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme.
• The Age of Beneficiary Widow and Destitute Women should be Above 18 years and below 60 years.
• The Own Annual Income of Beneficiary Women from all source should be below Rs. 2,00,000/-.
• Definition of Destitute Women under Haryana Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme are :-
  • Women who has No Parents, Son and Husband.
  • Destitute Women due to Desertion.
  • Destitute Women due to physical/ mental incapacity of Husband. (In Case of Married)
  • Destitute Women due to physical/ mental incapacity of Parents. (In Case of Other Women)
• Haryana Government provides both Offline and Online Application Procedure to apply for monthly pension.
• Eligible Widow or Destitute Women beneficiary can apply for Monthly Pension by filling the Online Application Form of Haryana Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme, which is available at Antoydaya Saral Portal.
• Beneficiary can also apply by filling Offline Application Form of Haryana Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme, which is available at District Office of Directorate of Social Justice and Empowerment.

• The following financial assistance as monthly pension will be provided to Widow and Destitute Women Beneficiaries under Haryana Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme :-
  • Pension of Rs. 2,750/ -per Month.

Eligibility

• Beneficiary should be a Widow or Destitute Women.
• Widow or Destitute Women should be a Permanent Resident of Haryana.
• The Age of Widow or Destitute Women should be between 18 Years to 60 Years.
• The Annual Income of Widow or Destitute Women should not be more than Rs. 2,00,000/-.
• The Destitute Women considered for Monthly Pension are :-

  Who is a Destitute and have No Husband, Parent and Son. Women is Destitute due to Desertion. Women is Destitute due to Physical or Mental Incapacity of :- Husband. (In Case of Married Women) Parents. (In Case of Other Women)

Document Required

• Domicile/ Residence Proof of Haryana.
• Income Certificate.
• Aadhaar Card.
• Any One Document for Proof of Age :-
  • Birth Certificate.
  • Class 10th Marksheet.
• Husband Death Certificate. (For Widow)
• Passport Size Photo.
• Caste Certificate. (If Applicable)
• Proof of Destitution. (For Destitute)
• Bank Account Details.
• Mobile Number.

Online Application Process

• Widow and Destitute Women Beneficiary can apply for monthly financial assistance as pension through Online Application Form.
• Haryana Widow Pension Scheme Online Application Form is available at Haryana Government's Antyodaya Saral Portal.
• Widow and Destitute Women Beneficiary has to Register herself first on the portal.
• Login on the same portal after registration.
• From the List of Services/ Schemes, Choose Haryana Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme.
• Fill the Online Application Form and upload the necessary documents.
• Submit the Application Form by clicking on Submit Button.
• Application Forms of Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme will be scrutinized by the concerned officials.
• Monthly Pension of Rs. 2,750/- per month will be credited in the given bank account of beneficiary after verification.
• Applicant can check the status of their Haryana Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme through below mentioned ways :-
  • Visit the Antyoday Saral Portal and Check the Application Status by entering Application ID.
  • Or Send SARAL<space><Application ID> to 9954699899 or 7738299899.

Offline Application Process

• Widow and Destitute Women Beneficiary can also apply for monthly pension through Offline Application Form.
• Offline Application Form of Haryana Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme is available at District Office of Directorate of Social Justice and Empowerment.
• Collect the Application Form and fill it carefully.
• Attach all the required documents with the Application Form.
• Submit the Application Form of Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme along with all documents in the District Office of Department of Social Justice and Empowerment.
• Concerned officials will verify the received Application Forms and Documents.
• After due Verification, the monthly pension of Rs. 2,750/- per month will be credited in the bank account of widow and destitute women beneficiary.
