Telangana Cheyutha Pension Scheme

Introduction

• Assembly Elections in Telangana was held on 30th of November 2023.
• The election result was announced on 03-12-2023
• Congress Party successfully win the Telangana Assembly Election by a huge margin.
• To impress the voters and to secure their win in the election, Congress Party had announced lots of Welfare Schemes for the people of Telangana.
• Cheyutha Pension Scheme was also announced before the election and will going to be one of the most socially needed scheme once it is implemented.
• The main objective behind announcing Cheyutha Pension Scheme is to provide health cover and financial assistance as a pension to support the needy people of Telangana.
• Cheyutha Pension Scheme was a pre poll promise of Congress Party which is going to be implemented very soon in Telangana.
• Telangana Cheyutha Pension Scheme consists 9 sub schemes which are :-
  • "Telangana Old Age Pension Scheme".
  • "Telangana Widow Pension Scheme".
  • "Telangana Disability Pension Scheme".
  • "Telangana Single Women Pension Scheme".
  • "Telangana Beedi Workers Pension Scheme".
  • "Telangana Handloom Workers Pension Scheme".
  • "Telangana Stone Cutters Pension Scheme".
  • "Telangana AIDS Victim Pension Scheme".
  • "Telangana Filaria/ Dialysis Patient Pension Scheme".
• Government of Telangana will now provide monthly pension to all eligible and needy people of state under its new Cheyutha Pension Scheme.
• Monthly Pension of Rs. 4,000/- will be provided under Telangana Cheyutha Pension Scheme.
• Disabled Beneficiary will get Rs. 6,000/- per month pension under Cheyutha Pension Scheme.
• Apart from Monthly Pension, Health Insurance of up to Rs. 10,00,000/- under Rajiv Arogyasri Insurance Scheme will also provided to all eligible beneficiaries under Telangana Cheyutha Scheme.
• Government is formed in Telangana and now headed by Chief Minister Sh. Revantha Reddy.
• Congress Party newly formed Telangana Government taken a decision to implement Cheyutha Pension Scheme in State.
• Beneficiaries can now apply and avail the benefit of Health Insurance and Monthly Pension as promised under Cheyutha Pension Scheme of Telangana Government.

• Fill the Application Form of Cheyutha Pension Scheme and Submit it in the Office of Gram Sabha/ Gram Panchayat/ Municipal Corporation.

Benefits of Scheme

• Newly formed Telangana Government of Congress Party will provide the following benefits to all eligible beneficiaries under Telangana Cheyutha Pension Scheme :-
  • Rajiv Arogyasri Health Insurance of Rs. 10 Lakh.
  • Following Monthly Pension per Month according to the pensioner category will also provided under Cheyutha Pension Scheme :-

Eligibility

• Telangana Government sets the following Eligibility Conditions for beneficiaries in order to provide the benefit of monthly pension under Telangana Cheyutha Pension Scheme :-

  Beneficiary should be a Permanent Resident of Telangana. Beneficiary should be belong to any of the below mentioned category :- Elderly/ Old Age Person. Widow Women. Single Women, Disabled Person. Beedi Workers. Stone Cutters. Handloom Workers. AIDS Victims. Filaria/ Dialysis Patients. Remaining Eligibility Conditions of Cheyutha Pension Scheme will be released after its implementation.

Documents Required

• The following documents will be needed at the time of applying for monthly pension under Cheyutha Pension Scheme of Government of Telangana :-

  Any One Document for Proof of Age :- Birth Certificate. Voter ID. Medical Certificate. Aadhar Card. Food Security Card/ Ration Card. Mobile Number. Bank Account Details. Passport Size Photo. The following documents will be needed as per applicant pension category :- SADAREM/ Disability Certificate. (For Disable Applicant). Husband Aadhar Card. (For Widow Applicant). Husband Death Certificate. (For Widow Applicant). Unmarried Affidavit. (For Single Women). Handloom Worker Card. EPF Enrolment Card. (For Beedi Workers). Proof of Stone Cutter Worker. (For Stone Cutter) Medical Certificate of HIV-AIDS Applicant. Medical Certificate of Filaria/ Dialysis Applicant.

How to Apply

• Beneficiary can apply for per month financial assistance as a pension under Telangana Cheyutha Pension Scheme through Application Form.
• Application Form of Telangana Cheyutha Pension Scheme is available at Municipal Corporation Office/ Gram Sabha Office/ Gram Panchayat Office.
• Collect the Cheyutha Pension Scheme Application Form and Fill it properly.
• Choose beneficiary pensioner category specifically by marking a tick.
• Attach all the required documents with the Application Form.
• Submit Telangana Cheyutha Pension Scheme Application Form along with all the documents in the same office from where the application form is collected.
• Officials from the concerned department will scrutinised the received application form and documents.
• List of beneficiaries selected for per month cheyutha pension will then made.
• Beneficiary will be informed through SMS on their Mobile Phone about thier selection in Telangana Cheyutha Pension Scheme.
• Selected Beneficiary will then get per month financial assistance as a pension of Rs. 4,000/- (Rs. 6,000/- for Disabled) under Cheyutha Pension Scheme of Telangana Government.
• Beneficiary can apply for Cheyutha Pension Scheme of Telangana Government from 28-12-2023 to 06-01-2024.
