Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana

Introduction

• Himachal Pradesh is a hilly state in which many residents still living in kuccha houses.
• Those Kuccha Houses are vulnerable to natural calamaties and residents faces lots of problem due to this.
• Lots of Housing Scheme in Himachal Pradesh started time to time to provide pucca house to people.
• Some of the earlier housing schemes operationalise in Himachal Pradesh are :- "Rajiv Gandhi Awas Yojana", "Indira Awas Yojana", and "Rajiv Awas Yojana".
• Central Government also have Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana in which constructed house will be provided to homeless people.
• But still many people didn't get the assistance for house and somehow they were left out to get the benefit of housing scheme.
• In the year 2016-2017, Himachal Pradesh Government started new scheme called "Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana".
• The main objective behind starting this new housing scheme of Himachal Pradesh is to provide support to those homeless people who belongs to Below Poverty Line.
• This scheme is also known by some other names like "Himachal Pradesh Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojana" or "Himachal Pradesh Housing Scheme" or "Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Housing Scheme" or "Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Awas Scheme".
• Financial Assistance to construct a pucca house will be provided by Himachal Pradesh Government to all eligible beneficiaries under Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana.
• Rs. 1,50,000/- will be provided to each and every eligible beneficiary to construct their own pucca house.
• BPL Category People are only eligible category to avail the financial assistance for construction of house under Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana of Himachal Pradesh.
• This Financial Assistance will provide to beneficiary in 3 Instalment.
• Rs. 65,000/- will be provided at the time of beginning of construction work of house.
• Then Rs. 45,000/- will be provided for masonry work up to Lantern Level.
• And the Last Instalment of Rs. 40,000/- will be provided after completion of construction work of house.
• Apart from financial Assistance, 95 Days of work will also provided to beneficiary under MGNREGA.
• Beneficiary should have minimum of 25 Square Meter of Land to Construct House.
• Constructed House should have below mentioned components :-
  • Varanda.
  • Stairs for Roof.
  • Toilet.
• Houses will only sanction in the name of Women, if there is no Women in a family then it will sanctioned in the name of male.
• Beneficiary can apply for financial assistance of Rs. 1,50,000/- for construction of house under Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana by filling Application Form.
• Application Form is available at District Planning Officer Office.

Benefits of Scheme

• Government of Himachal Pradesh will provide the following benefits to all eligible beneficiaries under Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana :-

  Financial Assistance of Rs. 1,50,000/- will be provided for Construction of House. Amount of Assistance will be provided in 3 Instalment at 3 Levels of House Construction i.e :- Level Amount Beginning of House Work Rs. 65,000/- Lantern Level Rs. 45,000/- Completion of House Rs. 40,000/- Total Rs. 1,50,000/- 95 Days of Work to Beneficiary under MGNREGA. Water Connection under National Drinking Water Programme. Electricity Connection under DDUGJY.

Eligibility

• Himachal Pradesh Government sets the following eligibility conditions in order to provide the financial assistance for house construction under Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojana :-
  • Beneficiary should be a Resident of Himachal Pradesh.
  • Beneficiary should be belong to BPL Category.
  • Beneficiary should have at least 25 Square Meters of Own Land for Construction of House.
  • Houses will only be Sanctioned in the Name of Women.

Priority Beneficiaries

• Priority in Selection of Beneficiary will be provided to those beneficiaries who falls within the ambit of any of the below mentioned category :-
  • Single Women.
  • HIV Infected Person.
  • Families who have Cancer or Leprosy Patient.
  • Widows of Army, Para Military, Police who died in Action.
  • Families who have Handicapped or Mentally Disturbed Person.

• The below mentioned documents is required at the time of applying for financial assistance for construction of house under Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana :-
  • Residence Proof of Himachal Pradesh.
  • BPL Ration Card.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Income Certificate.
  • Land Documents.
  • Passport Size Photo.
  • Bank Account Details.

How to Apply

• Eligible Beneficiaries can apply for financial assistance for the construction of house under Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana of Himachal Pradesh by filling Offline Application Form.
• Application Form of Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana is available any any District Planning Officer's Office.
• Collect the Mukya Mantri Awas Yojana Application Form and fill the details carefully.
• Attach all the required documents with the application form.
• Submit the Application Form of Himachal Pradesh Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojana along with all the documents in the Office of District Planning Officer.
• District Planning Officer will verify the received application form and documents.
• Field Survey/ Enquiry will also done by the concerned officials.
• Then the Beneficiary List of Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana will released by the Planning Department.
• Beneficiary Selected for Financial Assistance for House Construction under Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana of Government of Himachal Pradesh will get money in 3 instalments.
• There is no online application procedure is available to apply for Himchal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana.
