Manipur State Merit Scholarship Scheme

Introduction

• Students not able to pursue education further due to weak financial background .
• To improve these condition Manipur Government launched Manipur State Merit Scholarship Scheme.
• Objective of the scheme is to provide Financial assistance to the students for pursuing higher Education .
• This scheme improve the participation of students in Post Matric Education .
• Scheme is Implemented by Department of University and Higher Education, Manipur .
• Under the Scheme those Students are eligible who has passed Class 12th and Degree Course .
• Eligible Beneficiary will get following financial assistance under the scheme :-
  • Rs 500/-per month for 10 months will be provided those Students who are pursuing Degree Courses .
  • Rs 750 /-pre month for 10 month will be provided those Students who are pursuing Post Graduate Course .
• Beneficiary who are renewing their application will get following financial assistance as scholarship :-
  • Rs 6000/- per year will be provided to Degree Courses Student .
  • Rs 9000/-per year will be provided to Post Graduate Student.
• The Annual Income of Parents /guardian should not be more than Rs 4.5 lakh per year .
• Eligible beneficiary can apply for Scholarship by filling an Online Application Form of Manipur State Merit Scholarship Scheme  which is available at National Scholarship Portal.

Benefits

• The following benefits will be provided to the Fresher beneficiary under Manipur State Merit Scholarship Scheme :-

  Courses	Scholarship Amount
  Degree Courses	Rs 500/-per month (for 10 months).
  Post Graduate Courses	Rs 750 /-per month (for 10 months).

• The following benefits will be provided to the beneficiary who are renewing their scholarship under Manipur State Merit Scholarship Scheme :-

  Courses	Scholarship Amount
  Degree Courses	Rs 6000/-per year .
  Post Graduate Courses	Rs 9000/-per year .

Eligibility

• Applicant should be a Permanent Resident of Manipur .
• Annual income of Parents /Guardian should not be more than Rs 4.5 lakh per year.
• Beneficiary should have secured below mentioned minimum marks in their pervious examination :-

  Courses	Marks Required
  For Degree Course (Science)	Minimum 60% .
  For Degree Courses (Arts & Commerce)	Minimum 60 % .
  For Post Graduate Courses (Science) .	Minimum 60 % .
  For Post Graduate Courses (Arts & Commerce)	Minimum 60 % .

• Only those Students who had passed Class 12 from the following Boards are eligible for the scheme :-
  • Central Board of Secondary Education .
  • Indian Certificate of Secondary Education .
• Applicant should have passed Degree Courses from Recognized institute and take admission in recognized institute/University /College by University Grants Commission .
• Applicant should not be a beneficiary of any other Undergraduate/Postgraduate scheme .

• Document that are required for filling the application form of Manipur State Merit Scholarship Scheme :-

  Residence Proof of Applicant. Income Certificate . Bank Account Detail . Aadhar Card. Passport Size Photo of Applicant . Educational Certificate. Disabled Certificate (For Disabled Applicant). Caste Certificate . Mobile Number. Email Id .

How to Apply

• Beneficiary can apply for scholarship through Online Application Form of Manipur State Merit Scholarship Scheme.
• Online Application Form of Manipur State Merit Scholarship Scheme is available on National Scholarship Portal .
• Applicant has to Register themselves first in the Portal before filling the Application Form .
• After Registration ,Applicant can Login themselves in the Portal with received User ID and Password .
• For filling the application form applicant has to fill the following details :-
  • Personal Details .
  • Educational Details .
  • Contact Details .
• Upload all the required document in the portal .
• Preview your Application Form and click on Submit Button to submit your application .
• Received application will be scrutinized by the concerned Officers of Department of Universities and Higher Education .
• After Verification , applicant will get Financial Assistance for 10 months in their given Bank Account .
• Applicant has to Renew his/her application every year for availing the benefit of the scheme .
• Beneficiary can also check their Application Status of Manipur State Merit Scholarship Scheme Online .

Features

• Selection of Students is purely on Merit basis .
• Only those applicant can renew their Scholarship who are passed in their pervious year exam .
• Following students will not be eligible under the scheme :-
  • Students pursuing from Technical and Professional courses .
  • Students who started school after a year later.
  • Students Pursued Admission through Management Quota .
  • Students pursuing studies through Open Universities .
• Allocation of seats under Manipur State Merit Scholarship Scheme are as follows :-
