Manipur Merit Scholarship Scheme

Introduction

• For improving the condition of education system government launched many scheme .
• To increase the participation of students in Pre as well as Post Matric Education .
• Manipur Government started Manipur Merit Scholarship Scheme .
• This scheme is also termed as " Merit Scholarship Scheme for Class 10th and Class 12th".
• This scheme is implemented by the Department of Education ,Manipur .
• Objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance for higher education .
• Scheme inspire students to become hardworking and improve participation in Higher Education .
• Under this scheme who have passed Class 10th and Class 12th are eligible for the scheme .
• The selection of students for the scholarship will be done on the basis of Merit List.
• Eligible students are those who had passed Class 10th and Class 12th from the following Boards:-
  • Class 10th from Board of Secondary Education,Manipur.
  • Class 12th from Council of higher secondary education,Manipur .
• If student is repeating his/her class will not avail scholarship for the second time for same academic year .
• Eligible Beneficiary will get following financial assistance for class 10th and class 12th under the scheme .

  Class	Financial Allowance
  Class 10th	Rs 6000 /-per year
  Class 12th	Rs12000/-per year

• Eligible student can avail the benefit by filling Online Application Form available at National Scholarship Portal of Manipur Merit Scholarship Scheme.

Benefits

• The following benefits will be provided to the beneficiary under Manipur Merit Scholarship Scheme:-
  • Financial assistance of Rs 6,000/-per year will be provided to Class 10th Students for 2 years .
  • Financial assistance of Rs 12000/- per year will be provided to Class 12th Students for 3 years.

Eligibility

• Applicant should be a Permanent Resident of Manipur .
• Applicant should have passed Class 10th and Class 12th .
• Applicant who have passed class 10th and 12th from the following recognized Board are eligible for the Scheme :-
  • Class 10th Student from Board of Secondary Education .
  • Class 12th Students from Council of higher secondary education .
• Applicant should not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship /stipend under Merit Scholarship Scheme .

Document Required

• Document that are required for filling the application form of Manipur Merit Scholarship Scheme :-

  Residence Proof of Applicant . Aadhar Card . Passport Size Photo of Applicant . Educational Certificate . Bank Account Details . Disabled Certificate (For Disabled Applicant). Income Certificate . Caste Certificate .

How to Apply

• The selection of eligible students will be done on the basis of merit list from higher performing students .
• Following Board Provide List of Higher performing students with their name and address to Department of Education,Manipur :-
  • Manipur Board of Secondary Education .
  • Manipur Council of Higher Secondary Education .
• Eligible students who secured rank in merit list can apply for scholarship by filling Online Application Form of Manipur Merit Scholarship Scheme which is available on National Scholarship Portal.
• Application has to Registered themselves first on the Portal .
• After Registration ,Applicant has to Login in the Portal with received User ID and Password .
• Applicant need to Provide following details for filling Application Form :-
  • Personal Details .
  • Contact Details .
  • Educational Details .
• Upload all the required Document in the Portal.
• Preview your Application Form and click on Submit Button to submit your application .
• The application will be scrutinized by the concerned officer of Department of Education Manipur.
• After verification beneficiary will get Financial assistance in their bank account .
• Applicant should have to Renew their scholarship yearly for availing the benefit of the scheme .
• Beneficiary can also check their Application Status of Manipur Merit Scholarship Scheme Online.

• Government provide financial assistance to top 362 higher performing students of class 10 where 65 students kept in waiting list .
• Following 343 Higher Performing students from each course of Class 12th are Selected for the scheme :-
