Introduction

• Delhi Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana is the prominent scheme of Delhi Government.
• Department of Education of Delhi Government is the nodal department of this scheme.
• The main objective behind launching this scheme is to encourage students to be more creative in the field of science.
• Earlier this scheme is known as Junior Science Talent Search Eaxamination.
• Under Delhi Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana, Government of Delhi will provide one time financial assistance of Rs. 5,000/- and a certificate of appreciation.
• The selection of the students will be based on examination conducted by Department of Education of Delhi Government.
• Only 1000 Students will be selected purely on the merit basis.
• Student studying in Class 9th are eligible to apply.
• Students who secured 60% percent marks in class 8th are eligible for examination.
• For Schedule Caste/ Schedule Tribe and Physically Handicapped Students, the passing percentage is 55%.
• Elgiible Students can apply through their school under Delhi Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana.

Eligibility

• Residents of Delhi.
• Students Studying in Class 9th.
• Students must have secured 60% marks in Class 8th.
• 55% marks in Class 8th for SC/ST and PH Students.

• Students studying in below mentioned schools are eligible to apply :-
  • Government of Delhi Aided.
  • Recognized Private Schools.
  • Kendriya Vidyalaya.
  • Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.
  • NDMC Schools.
  • DCB Schools.
• There is a reservation of seats in Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana which are reserved as :-
  • 15% for Schedule Caste.
  • 7.5% for Schedule Tribe.
  • 27% for Other Backward Class.
  • 10% for Economically Weaker Section.
  • 4% for Physically Challenged Students.
• To qualify the examination, students has to secure below mentioned percentage of marks :-
  • 32% in each paper for SC/ ST/PH Student.
  • 40% in each paper for General/ OBC and EWS Students.
• Examination for Scholarship is conducted by Delhi Government's Department of Education every year.

How to Apply

• The only way to apply for Delhi Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha Yojana is through their school.
• The Head of School will make a list of eligible students and upload it on Delhi Education Department Portal.
• Then the Science Department of Education Department will generate the roll number and releases the admit card of students.
• Head of School will print the admit card and distribute it among the students.
• Student has to make sure that he/she will appear in examination on the date and place and mentioned in the admit card.
