Introduction

• Delhi Model Virtual School was inaugurated on 31st August 2022.
• Directorate of Education, Government of Delhi is the nodal department of this school.
• It is the only online school of its kind which comprises all the element of a regular school.
• As we all know that the level of education in our country is very low.
• There are many children in the country who cannot go to school.
• The reason behind some not going to school is the lack of schools in a far flung area.
• And some children are not able to go to school because of their financial instability.
• The education model of Delhi has left its mark in the country as well as outside.
• More recently, the news about Delhi's Education model was published in America's most famous newspaper, The Newyork Times.
• Keeping all this in mind, the Delhi Government has decided to improve the education model of the whole country.
• In view of this, the first virtual school of the country has been started by the Delhi Government, which has been named as Delhi Model Virtual School.
• Any child form all over India can take admission in Delhi Model Virtual School.
• This school will offer free education from class 9th to class 12th.
• Only those students can take admission in the school who have passed 8th class.
• All education from class 9 to class 12 is free in this school.
• Admission in class 9th for the course of 2022-2023 has started.
• In this school, studies will be done like normal schools, the only difference will be that the classes will be done through online mode.
• Apart from this, counseling and mentouring sessions will also be given to the students.

Eligibility

• Any Indian resident can apply.
• The age of the candidate should be between 13 to 18 years. (for admission in Class 9th).
• The candidate should have passed class 8th class. (for admission in Class 9th).

• Class 8th Marksheet.
• Passport Size Photo.
• Pan Card/Aadhar Card.
• Electricity Bill/Voter ID Card.
• Caste Certificate. (If belongs to SC/ST/OBC).
• Disability Certificate. (If any).

How to Apply

• Candidate can apply through the official portal of Delhi Model Virtual School.
• First of all candidate have to register themselves.
• To register, the candidate has to fill the details mentioned below :-
  • Name of class in which the candidate wants to take admission.
  • Have You Passed Class 8th. (Yes or No).
  • Date of Birth.
  • Mobile Number.
  • An OTP will be sent to candidate's mobile number for verification.
  • After filling the OTP press submit.
• After submission an online application form will appear on the screen.
• Fill the below mentioned details in the Application Form.
  1. Personal Details of the Candidate :-
     • First Name.
     • Middle Name.
     • Last Name.
     • Father's Name.
     • Mother's Name.
     • Gender.
     • Primary Contact Number.
     • Secondary Contact Number.
     • Category.
     • Disabilities. (Yes or No).
     • Email ID.
     • Aadhar Number.
  2. Candidate's Correspondence Details :-
     • Apartment/House Number.
     • Locality.
     • State.
     • District.
     • City.
     • Pin Code.
     • Permanent Address. (Click on check box if the address is same as correspondence).
  3. Candidate Details :-
     • Presently enrolled in any school.
     • If yes then filled the details of the school like name, state, city, district.
     • If no then provide the reason of not attending the school.
     • Class 8th percentage/CGPA/Grade.
     • Percentage (out of 100).
     • Name of the device which candidate will use for attending virtual live class.
     • Type of internet connection candidate has.
     • Details if candidate engaged earlier in any type of online mode of learning.
  4. Class Preference Details:-
     • Reason to join Delhi Model Virtual School.
     • How many hours candidate can attend the live classes and tutorials.
     • Candidate has to select 2 time slots available for online classes.
     • Candidate has to choose medium of study.
     • Candidate has to choose preferred alternative mode of interaction with the teachers.
• Then the review page appears.
• Candidate has to review all the details carefully and then click on submit.
• On submitting, candidate will receive Login Password on email.
• After Login, Candidate have to upload below mentioned documents :-
  • Marksheet of Class 8th.
  • Passport Size Photo.
  • Identity Proof :-
    • Pan Card
    • Aadhar Card.
  • Address Proof :-
    • Electricity Bill.
    • Voter Card.
  • Caste Certificate. (In case of SC/ST/OBC).
  • Disability Certificate. (If any).
• Then click on submit button.
• Candidate's application form will be successfully submitted and the confirmation mail will also be sent to the candidate's email.
• The application is subject to verification. The acceptance or rejection of application will be intimated to the candidate through email or sms mode.

• Marksheet and Certificates given by this school will be valid everywhere like normal schools.
• A candidate living in any corner of the country can take admission in this school.
• All the classes will be recorded so that the child can see and understand them again whenever needed.
• Candidate taking admission from outside will have to come to Delhi to give end term examination.
