CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme

Introduction

• Central Board of Secondary Education started Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme in the year 2006.
• The main objective behind starting this scholarship scheme is to promote education among Girl Students and encourage them to study further.
• As name of scheme states clearly, this scholarship scheme is only for those Girl Students who are a Single Child of their Parents.
• CBSE will provide monthly scholarship to all meritorious Girls under Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme.
• This scheme is also called by other name i.e. "CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child".
• Rs. 500/- per Month Scholarship will be provided to all selected Girl Student under this scheme.
• Only those Girls are eligible who passed Class 10th Examination with 60% Marks and currently studying in Class 11th in CBSE Affiliated School.
• Scholarship under Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme of CBSE will be provided for 2 years i.e for Class 11th and Class 12th.
• NRIs are also eligible to apply for monthly scholarship scheme of CBSE.
• It is mandatory to renew CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme Application once Girl Student passed Class 11th with minimum 50% marks.
• Application for the year 2023-2024 of Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child of Central Board of Secondary Education is open.
• Girl Student can apply for Scholarship by filling Online Application Form of Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme on or before 18-10-2023.

Benefits

• CBSE will provide the monthly scholarship as mentioned under Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme :-
  • Scholarship for 2 Years (Class 11th and 12th) will be provided.
  • Monthly Scholarship of Rs. 500/- per Month will be Given.

Fresh Application Eligibility

• CBSE sets the following eligibility condition for those Girl Child who are applying first time for Scholarship under Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme :-
  • Girl Student should be a Single Child of her Parents.
  • Girl Student should have Passed Class 10th.
  • Girl Student should be currently Studying in Class 11th in any CBSE Affiliated School.
  • Girl Student should have 60% Marks in First Five Subjects in Class 10th.
  • Monthly Tuition Fees of Girl Student should not be More than Rs. 1,500/- per Month.

Renewal Application Eligibility

• Below mentioned eligibility conditions is needed to be fulfilled at the time of renewing the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme :-
  • Girl Student should be a recipient of Single Girl Child Scholarship.
  • Girl Student should secure minimum 50% marks in Class 11th.

• The below mentioned documents is needed at the time of applying for CBSE's Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme :-
  • Class 10th Roll Number.
  • Class 10th Marksheet.
  • Class 10th Certificate.
  • Income Certificate.
  • Caste Certificate. (If Applicable)
  • Mobile Number.
  • Passport Size Photo.

How to Apply

• Single Girl Child can apply for monthly scholarship under CBSE's Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme through Online Application Form.
• Online Application Form of CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme is available at Official Website of CBSE.
• There is no need for separate registration or making an account in order to apply for scholarship.
• Class 10th Roll Number and Date of Birth of Girl Child is sufficient to apply for Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme of CBSE.
• Enter Your Class 10th Roll Number and Date of Birth and then Click on Submit Button.
• CBSE Portal will verify the details and if found correct then an Application Form Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme will appear on screen.
• Fill the basic details like Personal Details, Contact Details, Bank Account Details in the Online Application Form.
• Upload all the required documents on the portal.
• Preview the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme Application Form and then Submit it.
• CBSE Portal will generate the Application Number.
• Take a Print Out of the Confirmation Page of Application Form for future reference.
• School of a Girl Child will then verify the details of Application Form filled by the Girl.
• After verification, Monthly Scholarship under Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme will be directly credited in the given bank account of Girl Child.
• Beneficiary Girl can also check the Application Status of CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme Online on CBSE Portal.
• It is mandatory for Girl Child to renew the Scholarship after passing Class 11th.
• Online Application and Renewal of Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme is open for 2023-2024.
• The last date to apply for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme is 18-10-2023.
