Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• Rajasthan Government started Kali Bai Bheel Medhavi Chhatra Scooty Yojana and Devnarayan Scooty Distribution and Incentive Scheme for students welfare.
• Each scheme targets specific groups of students in which they are getting Scooty free of cost for transportation.
• On 16-01-2025, Government of Rajasthan launched "Kalpana Chawla Girl Electric Two Wheeler Distribution Scheme" popularly known as "Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana".
• The Government's main objective is to provide a suitable mode of transportation to girl students so that they can easily complete their higher education.
• Rajasthan Government's Department of Technical Education is the nodal department of this scheme.
• Free Electric Scooty will be provided to girl students under this scheme.
• Only those girl students are eligible who are currently in the first year of their Engineering or Diploma Course.
• A total of 500 electric scooties will be distributed among girl students under the Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Scheme.
• Girl students studying their Engineering or Diploma Course from Government Engineering University, Engineering Colleges under the Technical University of the State, State Technical Universities, Government or Women's Polytechnic are only eligible to apply.
• Beneficiary Girl Students of any other scholarship scheme of the Rajasthan Government or the Central Government is also eligible to apply.
• Girl Students can visit Single Sign In Portal of the Rajasthan Government and apply online for Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana.

Scheme Benefits

• Girl Students studying in Engineering or Diploma Courses will get below mentioned benefits from Rajasthan Government under Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana :-
  • Free Electric Scooty will be provided to Girl Students.
  • Registration Certificate, 1 Year Insurance, and 1 Helmet will also provided with Scooty.

Eligibility Requirements

• Government of Rajasthan will provide a free electric two-wheeler scooter to those applicants who meet the below-mentioned eligibility conditions of Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana :-

  Girl Students of Rajasthan are Eligible to Apply. Girl Student should be in the First Year of Engineering or a Diploma Course. Girl students should belong to SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS or General Category. Rajasthan Government also sets the following minimum marks eligibility for Girls Students :- For Engineering :- 50% Marks in Class 12th from Rajasthan Education Board and 60% Marks in Class 12th from CBSE. For Diploma :- 45% Marks in Class 10th from Rajasthan Education Board and 55% Marks in Class 10th from CBSE. Yearly Family Income of Girl Student should be less than Rs. 8,00,000/-.

Ineligibility Conditions

• Free electric scooty under Rajasthan Government's Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana will not be provided to those girl students who come under any of the following ineligibility conditions :-
  • Kali Bai Bheel Medhavi Chhatra Scooty Yojana Beneficiaries.
  • Devnarayan Scooty Distribution and Incentive Scheme Beneficiarues.
  • Annual Family Annual Income is more than Rs. 8,00,000/-.
  • If a Girl Student is not studying in an Engineering or Diploma Course.

Required Documents

• Documents that are required to be uploaded on Single Sign In Portal to avail the benefit of a free electric scooty under Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana are mentioned below :-
  • Domicile or Residence Proof of Rajasthan.
  • Fees Slip of University/ College.
  • Family Jan Aadhaar Card.
  • Class 12th Marksheet and Passing Certificate. (For Engineering)
  • Class 10th Marksheet and Passing Certificate. (For Diploma)
  • Income Certificate.
  • Student Caste Certificate.
  • Mobile Number.

Steps to Apply

• Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana Application Form is available in Rajasthan Government's Single Sign In Website.
• Visit Single Sign In Website of the Rajasthan Government and Register yourself with the help of Gmail or Jan Aadhaar Card Number.
  
• Username and Password will be sent by a website on the registered Gmail address of the applicant.
• Login and Search for Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana and Click on it.
  
• Click on Apply Online and enter your Jan Aadhaar Card Number.
• Website will verify the Jan Aadhaar Card Number through OTP.
• Choose Beneficiary Name and Fill Online Application Form of Kalpana Chawla Electric Scooty Vitran Yojana.
• Upload all the required documents on the website.
• Check the filled details and submit the Application Form.
• Submitted Application Form and Documents will be verified by the nodal officer of the respective university/ college of girl student.
• List of Selected Girl Students will then be forwarded to the Technical Education Directorate for further verification.
• Technical Education Directorate will then forward the list to the Technical Education Department for approval.
• Government will then distribute free scooties among selected girl students under Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana.
