Scheme Introduction: A Brief Overview

• Uttar Pradesh has started a new initiative for the Sanskrit students called "Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit Scholarship Scheme".
• Under this scheme, the state government will provide a scholarship of Rs 300/- to each student.
• Scholarship benefits will be provided to each student studying in Sanskrit schools, colleges and universities.
• Earlier, the scheme benefits were provided to only 300 students with age restrictions, but now its benefits are extended to all students without any age limit.
• While launching the scheme, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath distributed scholarships to 69,195 students worth Rs 586 lakhs.
• The benefit of the scheme will be credited to students' bank accounts through DBT mode.
• It is mandatory for all students to open a bank account in their own name.
• The main objective of the scheme is to strengthen and promote the Sanskrit language.
• Scholarship helps to encourage more students to study Sanskrit.
• As of now we have only a few details about the scheme, once its detailed guidelines are released we will update them here.
• Students who fulfills the eligibility conditions can apply for the UP Sanskrit Scholarship Scheme.
• The application form for Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit Scholarship Scheme will be accepted either online or offline.

Scheme Benefits

• Under the Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit Scholarship Scheme, eligible students will be awarded with following benefits : -
  • Each Sanskrit students will receive a scholarship worth Rs 300/-.
  • Scholarship amount will be credited to students/guardians bank account.

Eligibility Requirement

• Students with the following eligibility criteria are eligible to receive Rs 300 under UP Sanskrit Scholarship Scheme : -
  • Students must be domiciled residents of Uttar Pradesh.
  • Students must be studying in Sanskrit Schools and Colleges located in Uttar Pradesh.

Required Documents

• To receive Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit Scholarship Scheme benefits students must submit their following documents : -
  • Aadhaar Card.
  • School/College ID.
  • Bank Passbook.
  • Address Proof.
  • Others as stated in the application form.

Steps to Apply

• Eligible students can apply for the Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit Scholarship Scheme.
• Application form for UP Sanskrit Scholarship Scheme will be invited online or offline is not announced.
• Students with Sanskrit subjects may contact their respective school and college for details.
• Once a detailed process of the UP Sanskrit Scholarship Scheme is available, we will update them here.
• In the requested application form, students must provide their personal and other details.
