Introduction
- The newly elected government of Andhra Pradesh has started fulfilling their promises which was made during the assembly election.
- On June 13, 2024, the Andhra Pradesh's Chandrababu Naidu Government announced to restore the "NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme".
- However, this is not a new scheme, the government just updated its name and benefits offered under the previous government scheme called, YSR Kanuka Pension Scheme.
- This scheme is also known as "Andhra Pradesh NTR Bharosa Pension Pathakam".
- The government is committed to being a staunch supporter of the weaker section of the society, for this they keep announcing schemes for their welfare and development.
- Under the NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme, the government increased the pension amount as being offered in the outgoing scheme.
- The NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme pension will offer pension ranging from Rs. 4,000/- to Rs. 15,000/.
- Whereas, the previous scheme offered benefit ranging from 3,000 to 10,000/-
- As per the announcement, the benefits of the scheme will be forwarded to the eligible applicants from July 1, 2024.
- However, the increased pension amount will be evaluated from April 1, 2024 and the arrears from April to June will be disbursed in July 2024.
- Under the NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme, the government is now offering a pension to fully disabled persons, where such beneficiaries will receive a monthly pension of Rs 15,000/-.
- Currently, the government shared details about the updated benefits of the scheme.
- We need to check whether there are any changes in the eligibility or the application process.
- For such details, the applicants need to wait for the detailed guidelines which are likely to be out in due course.

Eligibility Criteria
- To apply for the Andhra Pradesh NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme, the applicants must fulfill the following eligibility criteria as mentioned below :-
Native Residents Applicant must be a domiciled resident of Andhra Pradesh. Person should be of any of the given categories. - Old Age Person.
- Widow.
- Toddy Tappers.
- Weavers.
- Single Women.
- Fishermen.
- ART (PLHIV) Person.
- Traditional Cobbler.
- Transgender.
- Disabled.
- Dappu Artists.
- Person Affected with Chronic Kidney Disease.
Monthly Income - Rural Areas: Up to 10,000/- per month
- Urban Areas: Up to 12,000/- per month.
Land Details - Wet Land: Less than 3 Acre.
OR - Dry Land: less than 10 Acre.
OR - Total, ten acre including both wet and dry.
Ineligible cases - A family member is a Govt. Employee or Govt. pensioner.
- Owns a Four Wheeler (Except Taxi, tractor, and Autos).
- Monthly electricity consumption should not exceed 300 units.
- Any member of the family falls under the income tax slab.
- In possession of more than 1000 Sq Ft of Commercial or Residential Areas
Age Limit (Category Wise) - Old Age :-
- 50 years or older for ST Applicants.
- 60 years or older for other categories.
- Widow: 18 years or above.
- Disabled: No Limit.
- Weavers and Toddy Toppers: 50 years or above.
- ART (PLHV): 6 month in ART Centre.
- Transgender: 18 years or above.
- Dialysis person: no Limit.
- Fishermen: 50 years or more.
- Single Women
- Rural Areas: 30 years or above
- Urban Areas: 35 years or above
- Dappu Artist: 50 Years.
- Traditional Cobblers: 40 Years.

- Affidavit for Unmarried women.
How to Apply
- In order to receive benefits of NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme, applicants can submit their applications offline.
- Beneficiaries can collect Application Form for NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme from the Gram Panchayat or Ward Secretariat.
- In this application form, applicants must fill all the required fields and affix the documents as per your category.
- Submit this application form along with the documents to the Gram Panchayat and Ward Secretariat.
- Thereafter authorities will upload the details of the received application online at the Social Security Pension Portal.
- Pension will be sanctioned to the beneficiaries who clear the scrutiny stage.
- The department will disburse the pension amount directly into the beneficiary account.
